If you’re a video strategist, you probably already know this, buuuuut… The clients that need you most all have one thing in common. Look at the businesses you’ve impacted most- Their offers are big purchase decisions for their customers. Builders, doctors, software providers, etc etc People are doing their research before throwing money at them 💸 Every additional step in their sales process is a potential fall off point. They need to be consistently: 🧲 Attracting people 🏆 Building trust ⚙️ Clarifying their process… at every step along the way. The right video strategy lets them do exactly that. Unless you know something I don’t, we haven’t figured out how to clone ourselves yet. Offering a one-size-fits-all solution means losing tailored strategies. 2. Strategy doesn’t scale easily, so it’s often the first thing to go. Deep Relationships: 1. Without strategic collaboration, you miss the chance to become deeply connected to your client’s business. 2. You’re not building that 1+1=3 dynamic that makes you indispensable. The result? A commoditized, base-level service that’s easy to swap out. High churn rates ensue. And in any recurring revenue business—services or SaaS—high churn is a killer. But there’s a better way. Embrace the good elements of productized services: - Transparent pricing - Well defined service tiers - Systematized delivery and GTM But don’t take it too far. Keep the aspects that make your service sticky: - Strategic insight - Customization - Deep client relationships There's a lot of good that's come out of the productized movement, but it's not a panacea.
