    I was first published at the age of 9 for a fictional poem about my (not yet dead) grandmother. That's how I became a writing junkie, and I've been chasing the high ever since. It got so bad I decided I had to get a terminal degree in writing . . .

    Getting my MFA in Creative Writing (Nonfiction strand) was an extraordinary journey, and yet just a milestone on my lifelong quest to create and share stories. The kind that conjure knots in your stomach, your throat, your brain. Stories that remind us what's possible and inspire us to do better, more often.

    It's good to dream big. I learned that from my grandmother. (RIP.)

    My MFA thesis is on human-animal relationships: how four animals forever changed the way we live, how we see the world, and who we think we are. I'll be working on this for many years to come in some fashion. Keep an eye out.

    I have a lot of obsessions. The human brain is one of them. How these little slimy skull globs form ideas, shape thinking, drive behavior. How the language we use inside and outside of these slimy skull globs literally changes how we see, interact and affect the world around us.

    I got certified as a Brain Coach just so I could gain more mastery over how to nurture and get the best out of this internal gob of goo. So you can think better and do better yay.

  • Storytelling training for business marketers

    - Present

    Crafted, led and facilitated full-day immersive storytelling training for 80 senior marketers at a $6B company. • NCR/NFL Atlanta Falcons Messaging, Comms and Signage

    -

    Paying a visit to the Georgia Dome? Look for the signs. Yes, literally: the huge signs plastered all over the walls of this Atlanta Falcons home base. When the NFL team and tech brand NCR teamed up, I collaborated with in-house NCR creative and amazing agency IncrediBull to compose these materials--plus suite-holder comms announcing some of the new perks this NFL-NCR partnership brings.

  • PRCA Dare Award Winner: Skype Ask Simon

    People will literally ask Simon Cowell anything--from the color of his toilet paper to his feelings on eating precious bull parts. I worked with my fave creative brand comms firm (IncrediBull) to develop this campaign, serving as chief copy sorcerer. (Their words.) (OK, my words.)

  • NCR :: Brand Voice Development & Training

    -

    Worked with in-house marketing and communication teams, alongside external brand experts, to create a fresh, human voice that customers could better connect with. Why? Because B2B buyers are DYING for a tech brand that ditches the corpspeak and shows the "what's in it for me" from the get go. Not always easy. But always worth it.

  • Microsoft :: Customer Evidence

    -

    Developed suites of B2B customer success stories in support of offerings such as Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Intune, and Microsoft Office 365. We excel at high-volume evidence projects that demand great storytelling and consistent quality!
