I got asked today about how customers get access to fixes for AIX 7.2 and 7.3. In many ways, that should be an easy one, but it did prove a little harder to find the documented answers than maybe it should be, so let me lay it out here. Both AIX 7.2 and 7.3 are still very much supported, and you can see the roadmap on the AIX "front page" here: https://lnkd.in/eRMYaNt9 You can also get more detail, including that there is no "Service Discontinued" date for either AIX 7.2 or 7.3 yet, on the Sales Manual page here: https://lnkd.in/eiG8SYw5 Then, as the question was about getting access to fixes, you can look back to this old page, which talks about the Program Numbers for AIX Standard Edition support: https://lnkd.in/e7-g4u7T From there: "These programs have a one-time license charge for use of the program and an annual renewable charge for the enhanced support that includes telephone assistance (voice support for defects during normal business hours), as well as access to updates, releases, and versions of the program as long as support is in effect." You need to use IBM support for products like AIX. No one else can provide fixes for AIX, as the terms and conditions don't allow others to make the fixes available to other "Enterprises". There was also a question about what "Business Hours" actually meant, and you can look here for that: https://lnkd.in/eM_uidsJ "IBM Support business hours reflect normal country business hours in your time zone. For example, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in North America or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in some parts of Asia and Europe, Monday through Friday, excluding national or statutory holidays. Off shift hours (for eligible offerings with 24x7 response) are defined as all other hours outside of normal country business hours." I hope that helps, and let me know if you have any questions.
