What began as a single location with two part-time employees is now a network of three centers with twenty seven employees across the metro Omaha area. The goal of EPS is to provide compassionate care, comprehensive education and support to women in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Whatever choice a woman makes regarding her pregnancy, EPS will offer compassionate follow-up support and opportunities for longterm assistance through EPS programs and community referrals.
In 2016, EPS provided nearly 14,000 total services to 3,200 individuals. Many women who seek our services are facing difficult circumstances such as: little to no family support, victims of domestic violence or sexual assault, teens who are afraid of the unknown, and those who are being pressured into having an abortion despite their desire to carry their child to term.
Our free and confidential services include:
• pregnancy testing with immediate results
• first trimester ultrasounds
• professional counseling
• GED classes and other educational opportunities for mothers and parenting families like pregnancy care, financial literacy, parenting, health, nutrition, and more
• opportunities for mothers and fathers to earn credits to purchase material items for themselves and their children in our boutiques located inside of two EPS centers
• referrals for medical services, adoption, housing, food and more. -

PEACE CORPS IS MY CATALYST...
The official newsletter of the Community Economic Development sector of Peace Corps Senegal
So many questions are being asked about my background, my Peace Corps Service (Senegal 2011-2014), among other things as well.
It's not until my mentor Philipe Bruce recently made a comment, here I quote "wouldn't it be self serving to do yours first? Your own publication publishing about yourself and/or own projects is always expected"; that I decided, perhaps, it might be helpful to "undust" some of those files …

This article was one of my contributions to The official newsletter of the Community Economic Development sector of Peace Corps Senegal published in April 2013.
As I re-read through this, I asked myself if I were asked the same questions today (9 years later), will my answers be different? My honest response is … NO!
Hopefully these lines will help answer those questions and help potential future Peace Corps Volunteers.
Stay tuned for more. These pictures were taken during my PC Service in many different regions of Senegal. -
