This is so important ↩️ As a Christian Small Business Owner you make decisions everyday, driven by your values, that might cost you something on the bottom line. You choose not to work with this client, not to work with that supplier. You might pay your employees more than the market rate, or extend an exit package for a little longer to help someone get over a hump. Regardless, your values are driving your decision making, not the bottom line. Why do so many owners forget that when choosing an exit partner? Let your values guide the decision, not your wallet.

From documentaries to selling his first SaaS company - here’s how he did it. Jordan started DropFunnels out of frustration.  He was promoting a new documentary–and it became a full-time job. He learned:  ↳ Launching a small business is hard.  ↳ It takes 5 different software tools  ↳ Those tools don’t work well together He decided to streamline the process with 1 platform: DropFunnels Jordan’s strategy? Sell the product before building it. Here’s what he did: 1/ Launched a Facebook group of founders with similar problems  2/ Gave that community free sales funnel templates  3/ Got feedback from users in real-time  4/ Recruited developers from the group  5/ Sold DropFunnels to his community (at a locked rate for life)  6/ Used that profit to build out the company COVID struck, everyone was selling things online and DropFunnels snowballed. Jordan’s business was thriving, but he was itching to build the next thing—so he decided to pursue an acquisition with us. After a competitive process, we found the right buyer who had a plan to keep the company growing without Jordan needing to stick around. $1,000,000+/year business idea anyone with Services business knowledge can steal: DFY Services business arms. Every software startup I talk to about Services division says the same thing: 1. They don’t want to build/manage it because it doesn’t mean much for their valuation 2. But, they can tell customers want/need services to fully adopt their product 3. The revenue from Services is non-zero—there is still SOME money to be made Why it’s the perfect company for someone well-versed in service businesses to run: 1. There are no “DFY Services Business” agencies (that I know of). 2. Extra revenue with no additional lift from the team is an easy pitch. 3. Value is created for the customer, the startup, and you. 4. The startup carries all of the costs (they pay for the employees that you hire and manage). How it works: 1. You build a Services business ground-up for SaaS companies Series B and beyond who don’t have them. 2. You put the team and systems in place for them to service existing customers. 3. You take 30-35% of revenue you generate—which they wouldn’t have otherwise. To start this, you need: 1. Knowledge of how to build these (perfect for experienced agency owners) 2. A pilot case study that proves you can build this properly. 3. A GTM motion – this sort of thing is PERFECT for LI. Depending on client size, you can crack $1M/year with a couple clients fairly quickly. Can someone convince me why this wouldn’t work?

So, what exactly is affiliate marketing, or partnership marketing as it's sometimes called? Think of it as having a savvy middleman working for you. Imagine how a mortgage or insurance broker operates—they bridge the gap between the buyer and the service provider, earning a commission for every successful referral.💰 Affiliate marketing works similarly. Picture this: you run a blog or website and decide to promote products that have an affiliate program. This program gives you a special tracking link to place on your site. When visitors click this link, their journey to the merchant’s site is tracked, and if they make a purchase, you earn a commission. 🛍 Let’s look at Amazon, for example. Suppose your blog reviews consumer electronics, like a Sony TV. You sign up for Amazon’s affiliate program and get a tracking link for that Sony TV. When a reader clicks the link in your review, they're directed to Amazon, and if they buy the TV, you earn a commission. Simple, right? 📺 These commissions are tracked through an affiliate platform. At the end of each month, Amazon reconciles all transactions and pays you for the sales you helped generate. Some programs even allow you to earn commissions on future purchases made by the same customer. ➰ So, to summarise: an affiliate promotes a product or service, a tracking system monitors the referral, and commissions are earned based on successful sales.
