This advice literally changed everything for me when I was in the Financial Advising business. I saw it from my mentor who was AMAZING at connecting with people, everyone loved him. In a world where information is readily available, ask yourself, WHY would people want YOU if they can access information right at their fingertips. No AI will ever match that human connection. #financialadvisors #financialadvisornetwork #financialadvisormarketing

Brickbats and bouquets for the inaugural video in our new series: If you see the Buddha on the road, kill him: Thank you, thank you, thank you colleagues who were able to find 10-58 minutes to review for us. We promise the next one will be shorter. Special mentions to Mark 'RxProfessor' Pew, Anton Pearce, Richard Gilley, David Westgate, Sue Parker, Dr David Quigley, Dr Laurie Lumsden. So appreciate your critiques, criticisms and accolades alike. We got deservedly roasted for a bit of talking over one another (my fault, James Coyne in full unfettered and magnificent flight would've been a 5-hour webinar), rather too long (agreed), for being gruesome, or for bad lighting that did something funny to James' nose, to problems buffering and freezing. Oh, and I should mention quite good advice about the risk of being sued - always useful. But somehow people also liked it and there were lots of comments that made me go "aw shucks". Thankfully, because taking even the most deserved criticism isn't my favourite way to spend time. So ending on a high, here's a summary from Craig Ewart, Professor Emeritus at Syracuse University, who gave it 5 out of 5: "This is fascinating. Easily ranks 5 ("Best") out of 5. Jim masterfully conveys the gist of his strategic approach with just the right balance of principles and vivid vignettes that exemplify them. He's a wonderful raconteur, yet stays focused. The interviewer skillfully helps to focus the conversation by asking pertinent questions that draw out and highlight key points. I would enjoy seeing more videos like this one." So there you have it.
