Measuring ROI on your company's podcast isn't about guesswork. It's about hard numbers and real impact. 1. Listeners or Downloads: Want more reach? Track your downloads. Example: 6,000 downloads with a $10,000 investment gives you a 60% ROI. ((Total Downloads / Investment) x 100 ) 2. Leads and Conversions: Your podcast should generate leads. If 500 leads come from your podcast and you convert 5 at $1,000 each, a $10,000 investment brings a 50% ROI. ((Number of Leads from Podcast / Investment) x 100 ) 3. Ad Revenue or Sponsorships: Turn those ads into dollars. Example: $15,000 in ad revenue minus $10,000 in production costs equals a 50% ROI. ((Ad Revenue - Production Costs) / Production Costs x 100 ) 4. Engagement Metrics: Look at the average consumption rate, ratings, reviews, and social media interactions. If your average consumption rate is 80% for 35-minute episodes with 500 listeners per episode: 35 * 500 = 17,500 minutes. Divide by production cost for engagement ROI. 5. Brand Awareness: Measure increases in social media impressions, website traffic, and unique listeners. Calculate by (Number of Impressions or Visitors / Cost of Production). More eyes on your brand for less money equals success. 6. Professional Relationships: Networking through your podcast can open doors. These relationships can be invaluable, even if they're harder to quantify. 7. Educational Impact: If your goal is to educate, measure outcomes. High download rates for educational content mean you're hitting the mark. Don't guess. Measure. And turn your podcast into a powerhouse.

Any successful CRO program uses revenue impact as a guiding light. It has to. Or your business ends up chasing $5,000 ROI opportunities when you could be honing in on $500K+ ROI opportunities.  Businesses are often so concerned with driving top-line revenue growth that they don’t tie a monetary value to their A/B tests. But you can’t place value on a winning test if you don’t factor in the time or money it takes to find it. Sizing the potential revenue impact of any A/B test is the only way to discern between actual winners and tests that are simply a waste of your time and resources.  Even in 2024, rarely are eCommerce businesses asking themselves if the ROI on a test is worth it. But your business should be! It’s time to stop treating CRO like a democracy in which your business implements the idea that gets the most votes – and instead, start approaching CRO with real data and consideration for ROI.  #CRO #ecommerce

Founders are you struggling with a small marketing budget? Create content and pay for stuff with your time. If you write: 1 blog post per week that = 52 posts a year If each blog: Averages 50 clicks a week that = 135k clicks a year If you repurpose those blogs: Into 3 social posts a week that = 156 social posts per year (Just on 1 platform) If each post: Averages 10k views and 100 followers that = 1.5M views and 15k followers If you can convert: 1% of blog visitors or followers that = 1500 paying customers Don’t get me wrong this isn’t easy and requires a solid stratergy with hard work But it’s the best way to do marketing in a budget. Call to action = Boring Call to benefit = Better CTA: "Subscribe" CTB: "Get your free kunafa" CTA: "Join" CTB: "Unlock 90-day content library" СТА: "Buy now" CTB: "Get leads - fast" Typical short-tail CTA’s works best in the navigation menus. “Call us”, “Register”, “Book Now”, you name it. For website or landing page copy, get creative with long-tail CTAs, aka CTB. Minimum 3 words. Go ahead, make some changes. It does make a difference. Hope this helps.

Yesterday PitchBook dropped some new data showing Q2 activity up, and Modern Retail and Anna Hensel published a great article on Zombie brands. Sean Frank summarized it well. So what is the actual state of affairs? Do things suck? Or do things not suck? My take: We live in too much of a black and white world. Nuance and grey area are important. Take the Non-Alcoholic category for example. Twitter takes are hot that either Alcohol is DEAD, or Non-alcoholic is FOR SURE a fad. For me, the answer is in between. I don't need NA to take over the whole store, or even half the store. I need it to grow its shelf space from 1 to 1.5, or 2. Incremental changes, across a wide number of stores. That grows the market. It's not all or nothing. The current investment cycle is messy. There are large amounts of zombies. There are also large amounts of good companies successfully raising capital, quickly, that may trade at revenue multiples in the future. Both can be true, at the same time. Discerning investors and operators will continue to focus on fundamentals.

Video makes or breaks your product launch. Okay... maybe not completely. But from a marketing perspective... if your launch video sucks... then the whole launch falls flat and has way less of an impact. Time and time again... I see SaaS companies get their launch video completely wrong. But, not Saipen (Ron Nachum). Their recent launch video was a *masterclass* in what a SaaS launch video should look like. And their video engagement backs it right up. Here's a mini-breakdown of their video script (follow this for your next launch): 1️⃣ Setting the Scene (Problem Context) "You are now the CFO of a multi-billion dollar company. You make the most important do-or-die decisions every single day..." The video immediately positions the viewer in the shoes of a CFO, emphasizing the high stakes nature of the role, and the potential risks due to inaccurate or delayed data. If you're a CFO... you'll immediately resonate with this. 2️⃣ Problem Introduction "The world's biggest companies are flying blind... wrangling information from antiquated ERPs and CRMs that should have been left in the 90s." The script highlights the inefficiencies and frustrations CFOs face, grounding the problem in relatable, dated tools and error-prone processes. I love phrases like "left in the 90s" as it indicates a big lagging problem with existing solutions and tools. 3️⃣ Solution Introduction: "This is why we built Sapien. Sapien is the world's first financial analyst for enterprise finance teams..." With the problem established, Saipen is introduced in a super simple way: "The worlds first financial analyst for enterprise finance teams" No jargon, straight to the point. 4️⃣ How Saipen Works "Sapien plugs directly into your messiest Excel spreadsheets... with a natural language query, finance teams can now answer the most complex questions in minutes rather than days or weeks." This section explains Saipen’s functionality, emphasising how it can work with even the 'messiest' of excel sheets. Again... something a lot of finance teams will relate with haha. 5️⃣ Demonstration of Benefits (Customer Impact) "For one of our customers, Sapien easily digs through a year's worth of raw transaction-level data..." "Years worth of data" is a *perfect way* to emphasise the tools capability and it gives decision makers an idea of how much data can be pulled in. 6️⃣ Future Vision for Saipen "We’re building a future where enterprise finance is instant and org-wide..." This section paints the end vision which is something that is usually missed in a lot of launch videos but is super important for giving decision makers an idea of the role it will play in their tech stack. 7️⃣ Call to Action "And if you want to learn more about how we're doing it, check us out at getsaipen (dot com)" The video concludes with a direct invitation to engage further, prompting interested CFOs to learn more about Saipen.

Select the pixel you want to pair with CAPI. Choose "Add Events" and select "From a Server" to get the necessary setup details. Integrate with your website or CRM Ensure your CAPI events don’t overlap with your pixel events (deduplication). Use the Event Manager's diagnostics tool to check for data accuracy and completeness. Include data like email, phone number (hashed), and event-specific data to boost matching accuracy.

This was a recent client analysis - Socure vs current vendor - for a major Fintech. ◼️ Applications per year: 38 million ◼️ Incremental approved applications by Socure (as %): 9% ◼️ Incremental approved applications by Socure (as #): 3,400,000 ◼️ Fintech's revenue per year per customer: $30 ◼️ Incremental revenue captured per year: $100,000,000 You read that right. Literally, not using Socure was costing them $100M a year. We did this while also capturing 55% of their previously uncaught identity fraud. This is going to change their business.

"Submit" is the worst possible Call-To-Action on a form and smacks of laziness 🙂 Per my previous post, there's something known as "process value proposition" aka selling the next step... You'll often get a modest to moderate conversion lift simply from using a benefit oriented and contextually relevant CTA. Here are a few examples: Claim Your Free Assessment See Your Monthly Rate Find a Location Near Me Get Started Now Lock-In 50% OFF Savings ... You get the idea... But also avoid overselling e.g. CTAs like the ones below may turn people away... Achieve Your Financial Dreams Now End Money Worries Now Find Instant Love 🙂 #conversionrateoptimization #ecommerce #leadgeneration
