Marketing gets them to the door and sales gets them to pay you..... Most business owners & service-based businesses spend all their time on their marketing message but then wonder why they aren't converting. Sales messaging focuses on getting your audience or prospects to buy. Entrepreneurs and nonprofits squirm when you say "sales" because of their own bad experiences with salespeople or sales messages. Your sales message doesn't have to be sleazy or pushy. And it shouldn't give you the "heebie jeebies" to focus on your sales process. Never lose sight of your customer and what they want--and how your offer helps them get what they want. Then "ask for the sale"...if you don't ask you won't get it. Sales can be authentic and honest. If you're focused on the "right" audience that wants what you have, sales should be a natural progression from your marketing. P.S.
