This week’s Construction Industry Council of Westchester & Hudson Valley Weekly Newsbrief highlighted the start of work for the $23.9 Million Flood Mitigation Project along US Route 6/State Route 202 at the Annsville Circle (Contract D265217) on which ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. is serving as Lead Contractor. 🙌 👏 This Project will raise the profile of the road by two (2) to seven (7) feet above the existing pavement and realign it further north to alleviate flooding issues. This will create a more resilient connection which will be safer and operate more reliably in extreme weather events. ✅ This Annsville Circle Project will be one of the first NYS Department of Transportation projects to use lightweight fill material (foamed glass) manufactured from recycled glass which will provide an environmentally-friendly alternative to typical fill materials. ✅ This Contract will also utilize geosynthetic reinforced soil technology to stabilize the edges of the embankment, utilizing layers of engineered materials to strengthen and hold the soil in place. ✅ The ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. Team is off to a great start and has prepared thoroughly to ensure the successful execution of this critical Project! 👏

NYSDOL encourages all contractors and subcontractors to register for the Contractor and Subcontractor Registry as soon as possible to obtain a Certificate of Registration to avoid negatively impacting a bidding period or project schedule. Contractors need to register before submitting any new bids or commencing new work on a covered project on or after December 30, 2024. Subcontractors need to register before commencing new work on a covered project on or after December 30, 2024. A $200 nonrefundable fee is required at the time of registration. New York State certified Minority or Woman-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) pay a reduced nonrefundable fee of $100 at the time of registration. There is an additional credit card processing fee of $1.97. Each registration certificate is valid for two calendar years from the date of issuance. Contractors and subcontractors must renew their registration at least 90 days before the expiration date of their current registration. Contractors and subcontractors may access their Certificate of Registration or check on the status of an application at any time through the Contractor Registry portal.
