Look at the businesses you’ve impacted most- Their offers are big purchase decisions for their customers. Builders, doctors, software providers, etc etc People are doing their research before throwing money at them 💸 Every additional step in their sales process is a potential fall off point. They need to be consistently: 🧲 Attracting people 🏆 Building trust ⚙️ Clarifying their process… at every step along the way. The right video strategy lets them do exactly that. Unless you know something I don’t, we haven’t figured out how to clone ourselves yet. When I ask prospective clients if they have a brand messaging framework, most of the time their answers fall into these two categories: 1. "We have some it, but it's not complete or cohesive." 2. "Brand messaging? Do you mean our brand book?" Brand messaging is the foundation by which you consistently communicate your company's brand identity across all channels. It allows your buyers to understand why you do what you do, and inspires them to engage with your brand. Brand messaging is also critical for writing any piece of content or collateral. Without it, your product marketers, demand gen team, and freelance writers are often scratching their heads. And that's true whether they're writing thought leadership, website copy, or one sheeters. Sure, developing your brand messaging takes some time and collaboration, but once it's in place, everything else flows seamlessly.

I struggle to pick just one piece of low-hanging fruit that small businesses miss on their websites—but if you forced me, internal link building would be dangling from one of the bottommost branches. What, you may wonder, is internal link building? It's simply SEO-speak for adding links between pages on your website. Yup, that's it. That's the whole explanation. When you add links to your own site, you help crawlers understand the structure of content and distributes authority from higher-ranked pages to lower ones. It's pretty simple. Except when your website gets big and complex (like those of you who have been blogging consistently for years). Then, keeping up with internal linking becomes a project. We recently had the opportunity to review a new link-building tool, LinkStormIO. It's pretty niche, which is actually a strength in my opinion. The LinkStorm team is focused on doing one thing well, and they've come up with a unique approach that I haven't seen elsewhere in the space. Check out the link to our full review in the comments. Long headlines provide more context and that leads to higher engagement and broader reach. What do I recommend? Next time you craft a headline, don't shy away from extra words if they add value and clarity. Aim for around 14-17 words to hit the sweet spot for shares.

BIG marketing partner considerations (my focus is SEO, but this would apply to other facets, like SEM, social, etc.): - How well do they understand your business? - Could they pitch your offerings? - Do they know the cash cow products/services? - Do they know where you are trying to take the business? All of these are critical to building an effective strategy and creating content that is interesting, helpful, and converts.
