Need to share Salesforce Winter 25 release notes with your team? Add an iDialogue document explorer AI model to your org and "chat" with notes. Add org-specific filters to the model for more relevant results (like only notes applicable to Enterprise Edition or Sales Cloud).

#Dreamforce is a huge event, and almost everything happens randomly, like meeting people at their booths. Yesterday I have the pleasure to meet Nate Ayres at MergeUp - The first Salesforce Document Generation solution built around AI. By far it was the most insightful conversation I had on this event. We discussed and shared about the challenges that AI brings to our internal teams. We conclude that soon we will face a skills gap for the new generations of professionals starting their careers and heavily leaning on AI superpowers to do their work. We need to figure out a way to support them on their journeys so they can experience the real value of creating their own skills and real world experiences. What do you think about this insight ?

‼️SALESFORCE CAREERS UPDATE. Watching the Keynote @df24. Agentforce will absolutely have an impact on the scale of hiring in the ecosystem. No need for third party AI agents. They’ll be built directly into the platform. #agentforce Marc Benioff is using language “humans with agents” what do you think the underlying message is around staffing? Personally, we must all embrace the AI change. We’ve been discussing this for 2 years with a great episode with Manuj Aggarwal on the Salesforce Career Show. Billion dollar companies with five employees? The future is getting here so fast. How will this impact the need to scale staff? This question looms large. Big impacts in support staff is expected. Marketing. Communications. Sales. HR. It’s happening. This is a huge change to the platform. Bigger than lightning! Run, don’t walk, to gaining your AI competency to stay relevant and a top 10% professional. What do you think? #salesforce #ai

Imagine if SalesForce never charged for services and never scaled with a network of implementation partners (who charge for implementation services). Do you think they would be a $40B ARR Company? 🤔 The answer is: No, They wouldn't. They provide a robust CRM platform that is usable out of the box for standard use cases. We all know every customer is a bit different and requires a ~10%-30%+ variation from "standard" to "custom" for their specific use cases and processes. Especially up market. SaaS companies have done a poor job essentially telling their customers "Don't worry... we will implement and configure your software for your use cases, in perpetuity, and wont charge you a dime". That translates to "Don't worry, we will cover the costs of your IT Team for as long as you use our software". This = Cant scale. You will eventually run into a scale buzz saw. If you read my last post of Onboarding v Implementation and how they are different, I am not referring to Onboarding here. Im referring to Implementation. If a customer has their own set of qualified skills and labor on their payroll that is capable to administer / build a use case and get better it, and has capacity at signing to hit the ground running, then absolutely support them with a free onboarding cycle / Customer Success motion to ENABLE to the people using / configuring the software day to day (maybe charge for personalized training). If you "Implement" them for free, you are essentially covering the cost of their back office IT Labor. Improving their margins and hurting yours. Some questions / challenger approaches I use when coaching sales on how to break away from the "They said they cant afford services and don't have budget" tag line.... 1. "How do you plan to administer and implement your specific use cases we've discussed so far?" 2. "Step me through how you configure and administer your other SaaS and in house software that supports your business?" 3. "How much capacity does your back office team have right now and into the foreseeable future?" 4. "Fully understand your budget is tight - What if we focused on a more standard use case configuration that your team can handle in the first 6 months vs the more custom desire?" 5. "What skills do you have across your IT organization that understands both the processes structure to enable the use cases you desire and the tech skills to deploy it?" If you "Implement" for free, you are covering the cost of the Customer's IT spend. The exception here is: Earlier stage SaaS companies with good runway of cash who are still building out their standard use cases and learning how to implement it successfully for LTV. I see this more as internal R&D and absolutely could be a strategic decision to waive the costs to build more standard use cases and improve the product's scalability. Thoughts?
