#InterviewScamAlert #BeAwareBeSafe Another day, another oversmart scammer posting as TA for an on-site role.. While I haven't put my profile open to job openings anywhere on any job/professional platforms I do receive inbound communications at times from many recruiters/companies. While this TA guy aka scammer in question carefully crafted the whole on-site permanent opportunity with client story, he also committed the same mistakes which the previous oversmart scammer had done(See my older posts for more details): 1) Asking for passport screenshot. 2) Asking for bank account details 3) Asking to produce these documents before the first interview itself. 4) Sending interview meeting link from his own email id, even though he promised earlier that meeting invite will come from client itself. 5) Trying to send me screenshots of previous candidates bank details. 6) Asking me to connect with his manager over whatsapp. 7) Only one round of interview with the promise of a permanent job offer from the client upon clearing the first interview round. Have you been in similar situations before, too good a job opportunity to miss 😁🤣 But guys he did had few very good tricks that were very convincing enough to buy his story!! I don't want to share the info on the too good tricks that he deployed in this post as those might be guiding light for other budding scammers too!! 🤐 The takeaway here is that if & when you are aware/observant then you too can spot the red flags in the interview process!!

Balancing workload as a technical recruiter involves some strategies First Prioritize Tasks we have to identify which is important and urgent tasks based on deadlines.we have to complete the task. Second Time management we have to use time management techniques such as the Pomodoro Technique or time blocking to allocate time for different tasks. Third Delegate: Delegate tasks that can be done by others, such as administrative tasks or initial screenings, to free up time for more critical activities Fourth Use Technology: we have to use .recruitment software and tools to automate repetitive tasks and streamline the recruitment process. Fifth Communication we have to be open with hiring managers and candidates to manage their expectations and we should apply delays as well. Sixth Continuous Learning we should stay updated with industry trends and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness in recruiting.

Freelancer or consultant? Avoid saying: "My rate is $100/hour" Instead, try: "I'm currently earning $100/hour on similar projects" This shows you're in demand. And anchors your rate to an existing project. (less likely to get hard-balled) If you have no other work or are just starting out... "I'm currently quoting $100/hour on similar projects" Another option, to give yourself some wiggle room... "I'm currently quoting $80-$100/hour, depending on the duration of the project" What's worked for you?

60% onsite to offer ratio yesterday with 3 offers going out. At 4 offers so far for the month, we are only 8 days in,1 more interview today!!!! I’d like to end the week with 5 SWE offers! Every candidate I worked with this month I found in our applicant tracking system. They applied to a bunch of SWE roles, were never moved forward, gave up, and I hit them up randomly. If there was an audit done, no one could find commonalities between my submissions EXCEPT: 1) they have all previously applied to other SWE roles 2) they all reside in WA and are interested in working hybrid/ want to be on our main campus / require no relocation Aside from that, they all come from different backgrounds, different sized companies, various schools, some have masters degrees / others don’t. I don’t believe there’s one type of person who can be successful at Microsoft. I also am a firm believer that you increase your chances of being contacted by simply applying. You may not get reached out to for the role you applied for, but you’re maximizing the chances that someone like me will find you. I don’t mind digging through the applications across the entire company because they’re easy wins. Less convincing, less chasing, less back and forth, higher attendance rates, and so far 100% offer acceptance. (I recognize this stat won’t last forever, but I’ll ride it til it changes🙃)
