#LLMs are ubiquitous, but, as Meta's Chief AI Scientist Yann LeCun noted in a podcast I recently listened to, they are a dead branch of #AI research. Why? Because there seems to be no way of solving their hallucination and bone-headed error problems. Because they have already been trained with all readily available data. Because they don't reason nor understand : they just spit out what they have learned. Because the larger the models get, the more compute resources they need.
