The Friends of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the Museum as a fiscal agent in its mission ‘to illuminate the natural world and inspire its conservation’.
More than 1 MILLION people visit our five locations each year – on field trips, on dates, with parents and grandparents, to view rare specimens for a research project, or to check out our famous dinosaurs. The Museum impacts people in all the state’s 100 counties through camps, exhibitions, annual festivals, internships, volunteer opportunities and more.
Admission to this incredible state museum is free, and even our special programs are free or subsidized – making us accessible to all. But government funding covers only a portion of our budget. We rely on memberships & gifts from friends and community members to make so much possible. We invite you to direct your gift to the area of impact that is most important to you:
--Presenting World-Class Exhibitions
--Elevating Science Education
--Archiving the Natural World
--Driving Research and Conservation
--Inspiring a Love of Nature -

12 Effective Ways to Prevent ‘Zoom Fatigue’ From Overwhelming You and Your Team
Business Journals Leadership Trust
A Stanford researcher has theorized that frequent video calls can lead to what he calls “nonverbal overload,” and health experts are concerned that the calls are leading to desk workers sitting for even longer periods than they do when in the office. Further, many professionals have noted that frequent, long-lasting video conferences are disruptive to their workflow. All these issues and more combine to create what has been dubbed “Zoom fatigue.”
