It was an honor and a privilege to share the stage with three exceptional leaders—Mamahlape Matsoso, vusumuzi mkhwananzi , and Moussa DOUMBIA. Together, we presented our innovations in our respective fields (Mine being Mental Health) before an audience of over +500 YALI alumni from 43 African countries, as well as government representatives, USAID officials, esteemed sponsors, private and public sector leaders. Standing on that stage still feels surreal. Moments like these is a testament to the hard work and dedication we invest in our missions. A special thanks to Kevins Randiek and Nompumelelo Moshoeshoe who have put their heart and soul into making this event a success, for their support and kind words along the way. Being at the YALI Alumni Expo and Trade Show (YALI Expo) alongside Africa Tech, was a life-changing experience. I stood in a room filled with some of the sharpest, most innovative minds on the continent, each person shaping the future with groundbreaking solutions. My GOD!!!! It was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. To be chosen out of 30,000 alumni to represent my voice and vision in such a powerful space? That’s the universe aligning everything just as it should. If you know me well you would know that I’m proud to be black woman and being there , I didn’t just represent myself, I represented every dream, every challenge, and every triumph that comes with being a woman of color in this world. I stood tall, proud of who I am, and connected with fellow young African leaders who are not just dreaming of change ..they are actively making it happen. This experience wasn’t just fun ….it was a reminder of the power of community, innovation, and resilience. It was proof that when you walk in your purpose, the doors of opportunity will always open. The energy, the vision, and the spirit in that room left me speechless and I’m more motivated than ever to make my mark. Connecting with over 500 alumni from 30,000 across Africa was an incredible opportunity to foster partnerships, exchange ideas, and share insights. I was honoured to be interviewed about how YALI training has impacted my life and the work we do at Inspire to Rise. It was a proud moment to highlight how collaboration drives change. With the event overlapping the Africa Tech Festival , it reaffirmed the power of community and shared purpose. As Helen Keller said, "Alone we can do so little; together, we can do so much." The Africa Tech Festival has officially come to a close, and as expected, it was nothing short of extraordinary! With over 15,000 attendees, the opportunities felt limitless. I set a goal to connect with as many “consequential people” as I could, and while I didn’t meet everyone, I’m proud to have connected with over 280 remarkable individuals—VCs, angel investors, industry leaders, stakeholders, and other movers and shakers. I’m deeply grateful for this experience as well as energized by what’s ahead. My team at Carsle has already commenced on the next phase: follow-up meetings to build on these connections and hopefully close a few deals. This is also an invitation to those inspired by Carsle’s mission. We’re currently raising pre-seed funding and would love to explore meaningful partnerships. If you’re ready to be part of something transformative, let’s talk and work out a good deal. Carsle is the social network for consultants/consultations. It is the knowledge marketplace. The stories we share about our journey of making impact are usually nice to the audience. However, it involves a lot of hard works, sacrifices, sleepless nights and selflessness to achieve. At the end of the journey, you will find fulfillment and joy to be numbered among the net contributors and not just net consumers.
