Sophie Hunter has taught for over 20 years, both as an art teacher and Head of Department at Salesian School. She is a Specialist Leader in Education (SLE), recognised for her expertise in leadership, curriculum development and teacher mentoring. Sophie has played a key role in creating a vibrant, high-achieving department, guiding both students and staff to success. Currently, Sophie serves as the Appropriate Body Lead at the Xavier Teaching School Hub, where she supports Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and induction tutors. In this role, she provides mentorship and professional development, ensuring new teachers have the resources and support they need to thrive. Sophie is dedicated to fostering growth and excellence in education, empowering teachers to succeed and make a lasting impact on their students.

Last week, our ECT 1s attended their face-to-face Module 2 Seminar 2, focusing on building well-organised mental models. 📅 Reminder: Progress Review Deadline – Friday, 20th December! Don’t miss the deadline for submitting completed progress reviews. We’ll be reviewing and providing feedback on all reports as they come in. ⚠️ Tip: ECT Manager has occasionally timed out while reports are being written. To avoid losing your work, be sure to save your comments regularly.
