Welcome Home, Seth and Krista! 🏡 From building wall panels during Riverfest to painting the last rosette corner block, Seth and Krista have finally reached their dream of homeownership! This hardworking couple worked extremely on this journey to homeownership, partnering with Wichita Habitat for Humanity to create a safe and affordable home for their two beautiful children. After months of dedicated effort, including over 450 hours of sweat equity and 40 hours of financial literacy courses, they are ready to open the door to their new beginning. On December 17th, Seth and Krista had the opportunity to celebrate with their family and friends as they closed on their house. They received their keys to this home and Atticus (their son) had the honor of cutting the ribbon right before they stepped into their home. We are incredibly grateful to the countless volunteers and sponsors who made this possible, including Wichita Festivals, Inc., Brickmob, Leading Technology Composites, Inc., Pfizer, HealthCore Clinic , Rhoden Roofing, Cushman & Wakefield, and Sunflower Health Plan. Congratulations, Seth and Krista! We wish you a lifetime of happiness in your new home.

Heidi and her family celebrated a huge milestone on December 13th! After months of hard work, dedication, and support from amazing volunteers, Heidi has closed on her very own Wichita Habitat for Humanity home. This incredible achievement is a testament to Heidi's commitment to her children and her unwavering drive. She poured her heart and soul into this journey, completing 250 hours of sweat equity and 40 hours of financial literacy courses... just within six months of partnering with Wichita Habitat for Humanity! This home marks a significant step forward for Heidi and her family, and it's the 19th Women Build home in our area! We're incredibly grateful to our sponsors, including T-Mobile, Cushman & Wakefield, Conco Construction , Goodwill Industries of Kansas, Patterson Legal Group, Spirit AeroSystems, and the many volunteers and organizations who built this home. Their support has made this dream a reality for Heidi. Women Build empowers women to make a positive impact on their communities, and we're confident that Heidi will continue to inspire others with her strength and resilience. Congratulations, Heidi!

Veronica's cleaning team was a true family affair! 💙 To prepare for purchasing her home, Veronica and her siblings joined forces to get the place sparkling clean and ready for the big dedication ceremony. 🏡✨ As we build community in the vibrant Rock the Block area in the SoCe neighborhood, one of Veronica's soon-to-be neighbors even dropped by to lend a hand! 🙌🏼 We are so thankful and proud of our family partners who are helping even in the final stages of the construction of these homes. Special thanks to Ann Fox for always leading the charge of these cleaning teams! We appreciate everything you do. ICM Inc - are you excited to see the beautiful work you have done to make affordable homeownership a reality for Veronica? #WichitaHabitat #RockTheBlock

It's #FlashbackFriday! On September 14, the Wichita First Church of the Nazarene had the incredible honor of hosting a panel build for Wichita Habitat for Humanity. 🔨 Everyone worked alongside our partner family, Nicole and her family, to create the walls that later went up that day to become part of their future home. 🏠 It was a powerful experience to witness the community come together to support this incredible mission. This panel build is a testament to God's love and the importance of everyone having access to a safe and decent place to live. We are excited that this home is nearly complete and Nicole will soon be able to celebrate with her family and friends as she purchases this home before the holidays.
