The recent AASC Conference in Indianapolis was a tremendous success, drawing nearly 1,000 attendees—primarily service coordinators—from across the country. Our Wellcare team had the privilege of sponsoring the event, providing a valuable opportunity to connect with American Association of Service Coordinators members and explore ways to support their communities. During our breakout session, we showcased three creative event displays designed to meet diverse community needs: -Arts & Crafts Table: Participants enjoyed coloring wooden magnets, highlighting a hands-on, engaging project for residents. -Games Table: Popular board games inspired ideas for fun and interactive social gatherings. -Chair Exercise Setup: A demonstration featuring exercise bands and a simple one-page workout guide emphasized accessible fitness activities for residents. We emphasized how these events could seamlessly integrate with the educational support we offer to communities. Our Community Relations Specialists, Jonathan Quann and Stefanie Morris, also had the honor of presenting the Innovative Community Program Award to Vadra Skinkle, a service coordinator in Syracuse who collaborates with us across 10 properties. It was a pleasure to celebrate her remarkable achievements. Additionally, Allie, Catherine, Michelle Missler (AASC CEO), and I led a well-received Q&A session, where we addressed questions about our services and shared strategies for building meaningful community partnerships. The session garnered enthusiastic feedback, with over 600 attendees completing our survey and expressing interest in further collaboration. This conference solidified our connection with AASC members, and I’m excited to see our partnerships continue to grow throughout AEP and into 2025.
