"Something happened last week that shook the tech world to its core, and created a mix of emotions for the public, watching from afar. On one hand, our imaginations were totally on fire, as Mark Zuckerberg from Meta presented the compact augmented reality glasses called Orion, with a really cool neural wristband for control features. On the other hand, it was disappointing, because he announced that Meta would only be sharing this tech with its own employees and a small select group outside of the company, as they go through more development to make it more fashionable and affordable. In fact, there is a fascinating whole backstory to this where research neural interface companies took two different paths. One, called CTRL-Labs, sold to Meta, which eventually resulted in the Orion neural wristband, and the other company called Mudra, that was basically started at the same time and has created a very similar experience, has remained independent and have integrated their neural wristband wearable into use with your Apple Watch or your laptop. And unlike the Orion wristband, you could actually purchase a Mudra to start working with it right now. CTRL-Labs sold to Meta for upwards of $1billion. And although the product looks really cool, you and I unfortunately won't have the opportunity to try it as a wrist neuro wearable for some time. But very few people at this point know about this other company called Mudra that basically has the same tech. And if you want the option of getting started with a neural wearable interface, check it out. Unlike the Orion wristband, you could actually purchase a Mudra to start working right now." *** A huge thank you to Cody Rall, M.D. for covering the Mudra Technology! 🙏 Check out the full video in the comments to get a special discount code from Cody's video description. 🎁 The full interview with our CSO Guy Wagner is also linked in the comments. 🎙 #neural #wearable #mudra #jointhebnad #neuralwristband #mudraband #mudralink

Wearable Devices Boldly Welcomes Meta’s Neural Control Wristband for XR “Competition only fosters innovation, and we are encouraged to see Meta’s nascent commitment to the neural interface sector which we at Wearable Devices have been advancing and perfecting for over a decade.” In the past year, the Mudra Band has enhanced the experience of thousands of users, showcasing its proven value. While Meta presented its neural wristband as a 'Purposeful Product Prototype' for smart glasses, we offer a versatile solution that controls computers, applications, and smart glasses. Together, we are creating a paradigm shift in closing the gap between humans and machines. https://lnkd.in/d2nmVQ89
