The #WBCDC #CraftsmanshipAwardsCommittee would like to invite you to participate as a judge for the 2025 awards program. You and other interested members of your firm are encouraged to volunteer in any of our 10 categories. Evaluation day of nominated work is Thursday, January 9, 2025. Judges will meet for breakfast from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. at Maggiano's in Tysons, Virginia. The #WashingtonBuildingCongress team will connect you with your team of judges and provide you the information needed for each site visit. #WBCDC will be spotlighting our amazing #committees in the coming weeks, which will help inform you on how you can get involved, build relationships with our members, and network with others in the #ConstructionIndustry. This week's highlight is the #MemberServicesCommittee. This group comes together once a month to discuss all things #membership, acts as a liaison to welcome those new to our community, and does #outreach to those who have not been actively involved to ensure they receive the most from their membership. #WBCDC members and guests came together this week to discuss upcoming catalyst projects in the #DMV. The panelists representing the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, Loudoun County Economic Development, Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation - Maryland, and Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation provided an inside perspective on the economic outlook in their jurisdictions. We also had an opportunity to #network before and after the discussion.
