In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, we would like to highlight our affiliate charitable organization, the Visionary Foundation. Imagine a world where no one suffers from preventable or treatable eye diseases due to limited access to affordable, high quality eye care. Visionary Eye Doctors is pleased to partner with the Visionary Foundation to take tangible steps to make this vision a reality. We invite you to join us in supporting the work of the Visionary Foundation in bringingthe gift of eyesight to those in need. For well over a decade, the Visionary Foundation has been conducting surgical eye missions in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Through these missions, our own Dr. J. Alberto Martinez and a team of US-based and Honduran partners provide charitable cornea transplant and cataract surgeries to those who otherwise do not have access to them. Since 2012, they have completed roughly 500 eye surgeries, including over 100 cornea transplants alone. The Visionary Foundation needs ongoing financial support to conduct these missions and even expand them in the future, at a fraction of the cost of providing similar services in the United States.
