  • We’re pleased to have announced that Coles Express and Reddy Express have collaborated with one of Australia's young rising culinary stars, Morgan Hipworth, to deliver delicious bakery products including doughnuts, cookies, cakes and muffins, all crafted by Morgan and his team locally with fresh Australian ingredients and delivered daily to selected stores around Melbourne. Morgan spoke to our team recently to share his inspiring story. Aged just 23, Morgan is a French-trained pâtissier whose passion and hard work has clearly paved the way for the success he has achieved. His love for sharing food and laughter shines through, and Morgan is the perfect partner for the Express stores due to his creativity, vision, and tireless dedication to crafting delicious baked goods. Thank you Morgan for coming in and sharing your journey with us. It was great to hear an interesting story behind the product we will now stock in a number of our Coles Express and Reddy Express sites. • It was an important week for diversity and inclusion at Viva Energy Retail as we celebrated NAIDOC week. This year's theme was "Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud." We had 16 focus sites hosting events during NAIDOC week, and our General Manager of Operations Tony Parry joined Kyana Lipscombe, Fiona Pollock and Todd Gava at our Boggabilla site for a morning tea with the community. Over 80 people, mostly First Nations people from the Gomeroi mob, and also Bigambul and the Kamilaroi mob, attended, including several elders. Following invitations from Kyana, Aunty Dawn, and Aunty Elaine, Tony was honoured to join the discussion about the importance of NAIDOC week and Viva Energy Retail’s support through education, recruitment, and community involvement. Meaningful conversations were had with an elder who used the analogy of rivers and obstacles to explain the importance of men’s health to his indigenous brothers, as well as stories from an Indigenous woman who returned to her birthplace from the Central Coast. The local school provided indigenous colouring activities and cut-out symbols of fire, in line with this year's theme. Thank you to Kyana, Dan Bussey, Daniel Jarrett, Mary McGrady, Day Wightman, Todd Gava, Fiona Pollock and the entire Boggabilla team for hosting a fantastic event to recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. #NAIDOC #KeepTheFireBurning

  • Viva Energy Retail's Head of Sustainability Damien Home highlights the exciting sustainability projects being implemented across our convenience and mobility retail network to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Our commitment to achieving net zero operational greenhouse emissions by 2030, is at the forefront of our strategy. To reach this ambitious goal, we have developed a comprehensive decarbonisation roadmap and initiated two key projects this year: ☀️ Solar Panel Installation: We are rolling out solar panels on the roofs of our stores nationwide, generating renewable electricity directly on-site.     💡LED Lighting: We've begun installing LED lighting for the canopies at our sites, enhancing energy efficiency across our operations. These projects mark significant steps towards a greener future for Viva Energy Retail and demonstrate our commitment to sustainable practices. #Sustainability #NetZero #RenewableEnergy #VivaEnergyRetail #GreenFuture #Decarbonisation #EnergyEfficiency
