Vibrant Data Labs is thrilled to have partnered with Climate Policy Initiative on their groundbreaking report, "Tracking and Mobilizing Private Sector Climate Adaptation Finance." https://lnkd.in/dxUy2Wy8 The lack of data on private investment in climate adaptation makes it harder to address climate challenges effectively. In partnership with CPI and Tailwind, Vibrant Data Labs helped develop an adaptation activity classification model to improve tracking and expand the scope of private adaptation finance. As a result, we’ve increased the tracked annual average of private adaptation finance from $1 billion to $4.7 billion for 2019–2022. This progress, highlighted in the report, shows that viable business models for adaptation exist and demonstrates the private sector’s potential to drive investment in climate adaptation and resilience.

It is official! Today Tailwind launched the Adaptation & Resilience Innovation Playbook! 📜 One of the topics we cover in the Playbook is where entrepreneurship and innovation are most needed within the adaptation space. For example, we cover: 💫 Bright Spots - Places where companies are forming and there is high market demand but more innovation and investment are needed 💎 Hidden Gems - Places where fewer solutions exist but demand is high and company formation and investment are an imperative 👀 Blind spots - Places where very few solutions exist, market demand is latent (but present!) and more innovation and investment are sorely needed Check out our Innovation Roadmap and the rest of the Playbook's findings on our website at: https://lnkd.in/e3asPnsv Special thanks to Autodesk Foundation Battelle Breakthrough Energy Fellows Lyda Hill Philanthropies and Shockwave Foundation for your support and to Vibrant Data Labs Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) and Fors Marsh for your partnership!
