More than 200 Duke Energy employees, nonprofit partners and other volunteers joined our “Rally for Relief” event in Raleigh today to benefit western North Carolina. We packed 1,000 American Red Cross North Carolina emergency kits, 50,000 diapers in partnership with DIAPER BANK OF NORTH CAROLINA and hygiene kits in partnership with The No Woman, No Girl Initiative . These critical supplies will be transported to the mountain region in coordination with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and MANNA FoodBank - Asheville NC. A special thank you to our friends at the United Way of the Greater Triangle of for their support in organizing this great event.

10.15.24 | TAX Day is here! The final day to file your taxes for 2023, and I spent the afternoon at EY, alongside United Way of the Greater Triangle. EY, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction, and advisory services, helps build trust in capital markets and economies worldwide. What an honor to connect with their incredible team as part of United Way’s 10 to Watch initiative, where I had the opportunity to share the impactful work of Empower All Inc. Nonprofit work is no easy feat. It’s filled with passion, dedication, and countless hours spent addressing the challenges we see in our communities. It requires belief from others in our mission, vision, and the willingness to invest—whether through financial support or human capital. While the journey can feel heavy or even “TAXing” (pun intended 😊), it’s moments like these, when your efforts are recognized and amplified, that remind you why you keep going. The devastation caused by Helene has deeply impacted our neighbors across North Carolina 💔. Homes, businesses, and communities have been severely affected, and countless families are in need of immediate support. United Ways across the state are stepping up to help those who need it most.
