Great news for barbecue lovers in Japan! The global barbecue trend is catching on in Japan, and USMEF is meeting with exporters and foodservice accounts to discuss how U.S. beef can meet this new demand. USMEF Marketing Director Tatsuru Kasatani reports growing interest in U.S. beef brisket, which has traditionally had limited demand in Japan. This summer, USMEF tested the market by supplying samples to 22 Japanese distributors, processors, restaurants, and a leading barbecue association. The response was very positive, and USMEF is now planning to grow demand for U.S. beef brisket in Japan’s foodservice sector. #USMEF #USBeef #BeefCheckoff
