Reintroducing GenPsi 🤍 Around May, we started a community for Psychology students. The response has been beautiful and encouraging- we have had so many people telling us that they have received their first internship opportunities through our community. After three months, we are deciding to open the community for more Psychology people- post graduate students and working professionals. And we will also be setting up the space for community chatter every weekend. This is not your typical networking group - here, our volunteers will sought through opportunities and listings before posting them ourselves. We will also be sharing research surveys of our community members as an act of goodwill- if we don’t help our fellow peers out, who will? So anyone who would like to be a part of GenPsi, please fill this form here: https://lnkd.in/dzkp3Xda. See you on the other side 💌 #psychology #psychologystudent #psychologyinternship #community

Introducing GenPsi by Unwind - a networking hub for psychology students! This is an exclusive WhatsApp community for psychology students (Bachelor’s/Early Master’s) to find relevant internship and work opportunities. We will be posting job descriptions and vacancies that are open to psychology students, both online and offline. Please note: this is not for professionals practicing in the field, only for students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. If you're in high school, you can join too. But first, what is Unwind? Unwind Mental Healthcare Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit organization aiming to bridge the gap between accessible mental healthcare and underserved youth populations. We facilitate free and affordable therapy services for students and teenagers, and work on spreading mental health awareness in local schools and colleges. Supported by a compassionate team of 15+ MHPs and around 40+ volunteers and several local chapters, Unwind is striving to build an inclusive and supportive community for the students of our country. If you're interested in joining GenPsi, register through the given form. Don't forget to share it with your psychology friends! 💌 https://lnkd.in/dyVY9qFb #psychology #psychologystudents #psychologycommunity #mentalhealth #nonprofit #mentalhealthcare #studentcommunity

We recently organised a workshop for our volunteers, thanks to One Future Collective 🤍 At Unwind, we believe therapy is political - and we cannot make a difference in the mental health sphere without acknowledging the systematic biases that exist in the society we are a part of. Constantly unlearning and learning is a part of the process when pursuing an intersectional approach in our practice. And OFC was kind enough to organise two beautiful sessions for us- one on Queer Affirmative Lens and another on Anti-Caste Affirmative Lens. Both sessions were extremely detailed and engaging. Arshiya Kochar was a wonderful and kind facilitator- our volunteers were truly in awe of you!! The workshops were structured to cover great many aspects of pursuing an intersectional perspective and our therapists and volunteers had an incredible time tuning in 💕 Thank you so much, we really are grateful :) cc: Vandita Morarka Simran Pradhan Shraddha Tiwari Mrudul Shah Aditi Singh Arshiya Kochar #workshop #intersectional #queeraffirmative #anticaste #anticasteaffirmative #mentalhealth

Unwind hosted its first Marathi workshop at Late Bindu Ramrao Deshmukh College for Women in Nashik – over 50 girls joined us as we talked about building personal strength through self-compassion. Our therapist, Ms. Surbhi Kelkar of IPH Nashik was a wonderful facilitator – and the workshop was a HUGE success. Unwind has always envisioned breaking language barriers and advocating for mental health in as many languages as possible, and this is a HUGE shoutout to Chapter Nashik for pulling this off. 💌 Kudos to all the team members who made this happen. We are so proud of you and our hearts are filled with immense joy and gratitude. 🤍 cc: Simran Pradhan, Shraddha Tiwari, Neha Kulkarni #mentalhealthcare #mentalhealthawareness #marathi #nashik #womenscollege #workshop

Subscribe to join THE CULT at Uncultured Magazine 💌 As some of you might know, we're launching something fresh off the press at Unwind. Uncultured, as I liked to explain it; is a creative, exhilarating, and exciting space- we are trying to do some cool artsy shit because we think art and the culture around is beautiful and worth talking about. The first issue of the magazine, THE ARTS & POLITICS, comes out on July 15. But first things first, we will need you guys to subscribe to a plan- free or paid- to get the first edition's copy directly in your mailbox. Every brand likes to have their people together on doc sheet, you know? It will also help us to keep the magazine exclusive, at least for the first few editions. See you on the other side :) Here is the link to subscribe: https://lnkd.in/dFMr3ZBy cc: Shraeyaa Dhaigude Shreya Mariam Vimal Shraddha Tiwari Srishti Agarwal

‼️ CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS ‼️ our first edition, "THE ARTS & POLITICS", comes out this July - and you can be a part of it! check the attached link to read the guidelines to submit your work- poetry, personal essay, reviews, articles- anything that fits the theme! 💌 about THE ARTS & POLITICS: The first issue wants to examine the intricate dance between arts and politics, a sort of an equilibrium where creativity and expression push and pull with societal discourse and politics. Artists wield their brushes, pens, or take over stages to to challenge norms, critique power, and envision change. Their creations ignite dialogue, provoke thought, and amplify voices often unheard in the corridors of politics. Conversely, politics provides the backdrop against which artists paint their narratives. It shapes experiences that make human lives unique, and perhaps—quite problematically—creates the sufferings that become the muse of an artist. Yet, amidst these constraints, art persists as a powerful tool for resistance and advocacy. It mirrors societal shifts, embodies collective aspirations, and documents the zeitgeist of its time.  What do you think of this? https://lnkd.in/dnpVBJRK

We are doing something interesting at Unwind 👀 Are we like, four months late? Sure. Did I procrastinate working on this because my creative juices were literally all Glucon D ad style drained out? Definitely. Am I still excited? Yes!! But before I dive into the details, shoutout to some people who kept me sane during this. In between exams and the end of the world, Shraeyaa Dhaigude, Shreya Mariam Vimal & Anushka Bhai have been such a wonderful team to work with- and Shraddha Tiwari is my constant when it comes to all things design. We have always wanted to do something more interesting content-wise at Unwind. We're still struggling to get a hold of our Instagram - we barely make a post, because we can't find the vision. And we are in no hurry to make decisions to regret. But a magazine was something always in works ever since we decided to get registered in November. Sometime back, I came across a post that stressed on how the trend of an editorial narrative to promote brand identity was going strong these days for all the right reasons- and that struck a chord. Unwind is a mental health non-profit and start up, but its values lie way beyond the staple diet of mental health advocacy. Psychology is a beautiful field where science and arts (yes, RCI, arts) and culture and social studies and history come in play. And we are interesting people at Unwind, having some reach to the young voices of the country. We want them to know that we take a stand, that we have an opinion, that we have a narrative outside of playing it safe. And I guess, Uncultured is where we do that. And it's where you will find us at our best too. Also, did I mention Canva? It's my bestie for all things creative. The cover(s) I designed for the first issue is probably some of my best work till now, and we might have done something different with this 💌 To know more, and to maybe submit for the first issue, please visit here: https://lnkd.in/dyDajwCT
