We kicked off yesterday with a town hall and awards ceremony complete with ugly sweaters, elf costumes, and a visit from special guest, Ms. Megan Dake, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Procurement (DASA(P))! It was a pleasure to hear from Ms. Dake and her entire team on their priorities and initiatives across the Army Contracting Enterprise, and how we will work together to execute contracts in support of Army operational readiness and modernization efforts. In this role, Vonetta provides leadership, mentorship, and coaching regarding pre-award and post-award requirements associated with contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and various other transactions. Vonetta is a longstanding member of our ACC-APG family, having been with us since 2005! As a leader, Vonetta's priority is to ensure the well-being of her staff, believing wholeheartedly that "when you take care of your people, they will take care of the mission." She places much of her focus on providing training opportunities and developmental assignments to prevent stagnation among her teammates, and she understands that fostering and sustaining relationships is critical in ensuring the success of her division.
