In rural India, farmers face an immense challenge: nearly 30% of their harvest is lost due to spoilage, primarily because of unreliable, limited access to electricity, and inadequate storage facilities. This food waste not only impacts their income but also contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions. There could be new-found hope - solar-powered cold storage units, innovative solutions that use renewable energy to keep produce fresh and viable for extended periods of time.
