The European Commission and European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) delegation, led by Leena Pishe Thomas, Director, Global Business Inroads (GBI) was honored to meet with the Honorable Minister Mr. Priyank M Kharge, Minister of Electronics, Information Technology & Biotechnology and Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, and discussed EU and Karnataka Clusters Collaboration future roadmap and importance of incorporating skilling, technology and R&D collaborations. The second day of the #BTS2024 started with lots of energy and ended with a bash! Successful B2Bs happened between Indian stakeholders from academia, industry, Centre of Excellence's and SME's with the 13 EU clusters and SMEs with diverse sectoral focuses! The exciting post lunch pitching session followed next where through an elevated pitch, the EU Clusters and Indian S&T clusters and digital economy missions including #Bangalore Bio innovation Centre, #ARTPARK, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission, #IIITB etc. discussed their respective sectoral focuses and ways to foster long term collaborations in the future! And all's well, that end's well with lots of networking and fun! Almost 75 participants joined the Networking Dinner at The Chancery Pavillion to further strengthen the EU-India matchmaking! What a great start to Asia's largest Tech conclave, the Bengaluru Tech Summit #BTSUnbound #BreakingBoundaries #BengaluruTechSummit! The event kickstarted with the dignitaries including the honorable CM, deputy CM and visionary entrepreneurs who shaped Bangalore's startup ecosystem and took it to where it is today, making Bangalore rightly the STARTUP Capital of India! Exciting panel discussions that laid the roadmap of the future of tech and innovation, 85+sessions, 450+ diverse Speakers, and multi-pavilion Exhibition, BTS 2024 presented a vital opportunity for global leaders, innovators, researchers, technologists and entrepreneurs to connect and build cross-sectoral, cross-border and cross-community partnerships! It’s been a fantastic first day attending Bangalore Tech Summit as part of a UK trade mission. 💻 To start the day, Jack Mitchell-Wilkinson, India Project Manager for the Manchester India Partnership attended the 27th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit at the iconic Bangalore Palace. The event is Asia’s largest tech concave and is proudly hosted by the Department of E, IT and Government of Karnataka. 🤝There was plenty of time for meetings and networking that could support the future of our region. A big thank you to Global Business Inroads (GBI) and Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and Sobithan Sekar for their time. A special thank you to #TIEUK North for facilitating some of these meetings.
