What began as a desire to dive deep into the behaviors and beliefs of young physicians blossomed into a bold set of predictions that will change how we approach innovation in healthcare over the next ten years. One part of that process was a collaborative innovation summit in New York City. The Health 2035 Innovation Summit brought together visionaries, young physicians, investors, and leaders in healthcare to innovate on big ideas that could shape health in the next ten years. A recent report from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services demonstrates how care at home has a profound ripple effect on cost savings, better patient outcomes, and scalable innovation. In our own "Home is the Center of Health" report, we know that 2/3 of U.S. population between 60 and 79 years of age want to stay at home in their later years. When we embrace innovative technology and personalized care, we are ushering forward a healthcare system that continues to become more and more patient-centric — meeting the needs of patients where they are. https://lnkd.in/gRRVQXtc

HSBC Innovation Banking's Head of Life Science and Healthcare Katherine Andersen shares key findings, including: - Administrative burden (45%) and physician reimbursement (39%) are ranked as top barriers in delivering quality healthcare. - Artificial Intelligence will play a pivotal role in diagnoses (32%) and therapeutic decisions (31%), whereas AI is expected to impact only 8% of patient interactions, reinforcing the importance of human touch. - Preventative care, early diagnosis and addressing health inequalities are the most important variables contributing to the delivery of care.
