We’re beyond grateful to have been featured on the “Sherri” show, where our Founder Paige C. Lohoefer and Franchesca, one of our scholarship recipients, shared our mission of spreading JOY to children impacted by homelessness across the nation. 🌟 A huge thank you to our friends at Five Below for their incredible generosity, providing us with toys and a $10,000 donation! Because of partners like you, we can make birthdays unforgettable for so many kids who deserve to be celebrated. 🎂🎈 Did you miss the episode? I almost didn’t post this pic. It doesn’t show off what we usually love to display at The Birthday Party Project. It lacks color, confetti, fun, magic, decorations, cake, candles, toys…it even lacks birthday kids. But I actually love this photo and what it represents. These are the faces of just a few of the people that make the parties happen. They bring the fun and the care. They infuse the JOY. They look moms in the eyes and listen to their stories. They haul the boxes and bins full of markers & crafts. They set up & they tear down. They say, “Smile!” and take the Instax pic as if they were taking photos at their own nephew’s birthday party. They light the candles and lead everyone in singing “Happy Birthday.” They do this week after week and month after month (and year after year) because they love the kids we celebrate. They desperately strive to help our kids feel seen, known and celebrated. I am so grateful for these people and so many more that show up just like they do - all across the country. So grateful to get to support & know our Party Coordinator and Birthday Enthusiast Team. 🧡💛

From shopping and wrapping gifts to making birthday wishes come true, they brought laughter, smiles, and a whole lot of heart to our mission—ensuring every child’s special day feels truly first-class. 🎉

True joy is coming back to my desk after Thanksgiving break to see ALL of these generous gifts from our friends Karyn Hansen & Catherine Wernecke (& the whole Compliance Team at Target!). Everything from the LEGO Group & VTech to Hasbro. Our kids are going to be absolutely beside themselves when they open these gifts on their birthdays! And I know there’s more being collected at Target HQ that will go straight to our Birthday Kids at People Serving People in Minneapolis. Made my day - Thank you all! All of us here at The Birthday Party Project are extremely grateful!
