🏔️ Smiles High – Colorado Avalanche Career Fair Last week in Denver, our founder Buffy Filippell led an impressive panel of executives, many from Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) at Ball Arena against the backdrop of snow-capped Rocky Mountains. 🎤 Michele Sturgell, JD, SPHR, SVP Human Resources, KSE, gave the nearly 100 attendees hope. While she wanted a career in sports, sitting in this seat, she said didn’t come until much later in her career. She was a trial attorney at first. 🎤Sean Ream, SVP Ticket Sales, KSE, and Ted Santiago both worked together at the Arizona Coyotes (now Utah Hockey Club) and stressed the importance of working well with your colleagues and keeping in touch. Both landed in Denver later in their careers. 🎤 Michael Ceilley, SVP Partnership Marketing & Media Sales, KSE, gave a shout out to attendee and hiring company bet365, a new partner with KSE. They had hired 5 at the last TeamWork event! 🎤 Colette Few, Manager of Talent Acquisition, Colorado Rockies, encouraged all attendees to be creative in their job search and be open to a variety of opportunities, including part-time where valuable experience can be gained. 🎤 Connor McNamara, Director of Sales, Air Force Athletics (LEARFIELD Amplify) gave tips on how best to sell yourself. ⭐ Often, we find hiring managers at these events who were once attendees.
