    Had a blast chatting with Alex Kracov this week on the Grow and Tell podcast! We unpacked A LOT during our time together, but this section on bottoms up vs top down was fun. I remember sitting in a room with Elana Charles not all that long ago and white-boarding out our own GTM motion. One of the things we spent a lot of time trying to unpack was our two very different sales motions: Bottoms up vs Tops Down We were trying to understand two things: (1) what are the biggest differences between our two very different sales motions and (2) what are the signals we need to help AEs to see to understand which motion to optimize for.     We don’t just talk the talk—we walk the walk🚶 Our team rolled out Malbek, a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform, to streamline how we handle agreements. And we couldn’t have asked for better partners, with their team supporting us every step of the way. But here’s the kicker. Instead of making our team sit through hours of boring training, we’re practicing what we preach. We used Walnut to onboard our internal team. Because we’re 100% convinced that onboarding SaaS doesn’t have to suck. Using interactive demos helped our team learn how to use Malbek in a hands-on way—no lengthy manuals or guesswork required. Plus, they can easily access all the training materials if they get stuck, instead of reaching out to Support or going back to the documentation. And in the process, they also got a front-row seat to how Walnut transforms onboarding into something simple, stress-free, and (dare we say?) kinda fun.

    Absolute best way to wrap a week! “…your product has made a real impact for us…and we’re just beginnning…” As a CRO, you typically get pulled in when things are hard. Or when something isn’t working. When expectations are misaligned. Or when someone or something isn’t delivering. But there’s nothing like getting this type of response from a typical “just checking in - how are we doing?” email a few months into a new customer relationship. Nothing like delivering customer impact ahead of schedule. Or hearing that your team or product (or both!) have gone above and beyond. Makes all of those “less fun” pieces of the job SO worth it 🩷
