This significant sea level rise resiliency project involved 6.5 miles of flood protection enhancements along the San Francisco Bay and several tidal sloughs, following existing levee and floodwall paths. The Schaaf & Wheeler team converged on Napa Valley this month for our annual holiday party. The San Jose Branch is thrilled to announce that it awarded $18,000 in scholarships to students from Cabrillo College, San José State University, Santa Clara University, and Stanford University during the 37th Annual Student Scholarship Essay Contest. The scholarship winners were celebrated at the Awards Banquet on November 14 at Michaels at Shoreline Golf Links. Schaaf & Wheeler presented our City of Hayward full trash capture project at the annual California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA) conference this month. Design was completed in 2021, with construction completed in 2023. The device is now removing trash from a 431-acre watershed.
