Here are 3 reasons why effective sales management is crucial to your company’s success: ✅ Predictable and sustained increased revenues: More deals closed and products/services sold = Better forecasting and financial planning = Improved cash flow and revenue growth ✅ Higher win rates: Deals closed more efficiently = Reduced resource allocation per lead = Improved conversion rates and profitability ✅ Less turnover in the sales department: High performers are more likely to stay = Reduced hiring and training costs = Increased team morale and job satisfaction By focusing on developing your sales management skills, you can help your team reach new levels of success. • Ever found yourself stuck in the limbo of stalled proposals? It is a frustrating experience, but there are proactive measures we can take! Here are 6 active steps you can implement to minimize the number of proposals lost into obscurity and maximize the conversion of revenue-generating deals: 1️⃣ Follow a Proven Sales Process: Document your successful steps and refine them over time. Keep a written record of what does and doesn’t work. 2️⃣ Ask the Right Questions: Qualify your prospects effectively to ensure whether they’re fit and ready. If they’re fit but not ready, offer them an informative presentation rather than a proposal. 3️⃣ Discuss Budget Early: Don't shy away from the money talk. Get the cost on the table up front to prevent sticker shock in the proposal. 4️⃣ Deliver Proposals Personally: Skip the email and opt for a face-to-face or virtual meeting for better understanding and engagement. 5️⃣ Stay Connected: Keep the conversation alive with relevant and valuable content while waiting for a response. 6️⃣ Outline Next Steps: Make sure they know what to expect next in the proposal. This way, they can start to visualize the experience of working with you. Have any of these steps worked for you and your team?

  • Struggling to push deals past the proposal stage? Let's dive into why and how to overcome it! First off, relying solely on email for this vital communication may not be cutting it. The method of delivery is important, and emails are easy to miss. But the real crux of the issue often stems from within the sales process itself. Simply churning out proposals in response to every inquiry can drain energy and resources, especially if the prospects aren't properly qualified. Therefore, it’s crucial that we ask the right questions to accurately assess whether prospects are a good fit. And, if they are a good fit, are they ready to make the investment? Fine-tuning this filter of the sales process will ensure that less time and effort goes to waste on proposals for unsuitable prospects, meaning less deals get stuck at the proposal stage! Do you and your team have this assessment incorporated into your sales process?

  • Have you ever experienced the dreaded proposal black hole? You have a great conversation with someone who shows interest in your service and are eager to move them to the next step – your proposal. You and your team invest time and effort into creating a detailed proposal that highlights their problem and your solution. Anxious to get it in their hands, you send it off via email and then you…. Wait. And wait. And wait. Sometimes, the crickets are unavoidable. However, there ARE valid reasons why deals get stuck at the proposal stage and proven steps you can take to ensure this is less likely to happen. • One of the key changes in the year 2023 was the refinement of AI-assisted sales enablement tools. Bots are out. Well actually, they’re still around, but they are becoming so much more human sounding that it won’t be long before we humans won’t know the difference.  There are new tools that automate prospecting in a good way – good for the sellers and the buyers. There are new tools for finding people who are searching for products or services and solutions, making it easy to enter their search and start conversations.  One thing that won’t change is the need for a prospect to interact with a knowledgeable sales professional at a critical part of the sales process, at least in B2B sales. Professional is the key word here – buyers want to work with trusted advisors during the sales process. This preference will continue to shape and evolve the definition of sales. #SalesAdvisorsOfFL #SalesTools #SalesProcess #AITools #CustomerSuccess

  • It’s well documented that second-stage companies face unique challenges as they move from one growth stage to the next. They hit scary plateaus in growth that propel them to do things differently.   This year, we helped clients change their sales approach from depending on inbound leads to actively identifying and converting outbound leads generated by their sales team’s efforts. We helped clients find new markets, diversify their customer base, and fine tune their sales messaging. We’ve also helped clients adopt new AI assisted lead generation and sales enablement tools, which has given them and us a clear understanding of how these tools are changing the way sales is done.  While each clients’ goals may be unique, our role is consistent: as sales consultants, we help them do things differently to jumpstart their growth trajectory. #SalesAdvisorsofFL #ReflectionsOn2023 #SalesStrategies #ClientSuccess #AITools
