On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. attorneys and staff came together for a holiday gift-wrapping event in support of Forestdale, Inc., whose mission is to ensure that children and families have the essential resources needed to thrive and live independently. This year, the firm was able to fulfill the Christmas wish lists of 30 vulnerable children in Brooklyn and Queens. This initiative is part of Forestdale’s annual program, which provides foster care services and crucial support to families in crisis. RMF partner Jessica Baquet who organized this internal event, is a member of Forestdale’s Board of Directors. Gifts wrapped for the children included clothing, shoes, toys, sporting equipment, laptops, and tablets—bringing holiday cheer to those who need it most.

Today, December 6, 2024, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. attorney Madison Scarfaro, Esq. spoke at a Listening Conference hosted by the Conference of Chief Justices and the Conference of State Court Administrators' Committee on Legal Education and Administration Reform. Madison shared her insights as a Pro Bono Scholar, highlighting how the experience helped prepare her for practice immediately upon graduating from law school. She also discussed the profound impact of her time with Federal Defenders. The conference covered a wide range of topics, including statewide initiatives, legal practice regulations, and fostering public interest in New York. Attendees included Chief Justices from across the U.S., partners and shareholders from prominent NYC law firms, members of the Permanent Commission on Access to Justice, retired judges, public interest attorneys, and more.
