🚨 Client Alert: Beneficial Ownership Reporting Paused 🚨 On Dec. 3, 2024, a federal court issued a nationwide injunction halting enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), temporarily suspending the Jan. 1, 2025 filing deadline for Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reports. ⚖️ Current Status: The DOJ has appealed the decision. If the injunction is overturned, reporting companies formed before 2024 may still need to file by Jan. 1. FinCEN is currently accepting voluntary BOI reports but will not penalize non-filers while the injunction is in place. 📌 Next Steps: Prepare your BOI reports in case the deadline is reinstated. We recommend monitoring for further updates.
