2025 is a year of change for remote work, as the return-to-office (RTO) trend gains traction in many industries. While it might feel disheartening to hear about companies enforcing these policies, I believe there’s still hope and opportunity for remote job seekers. Remote work culture and infrastructure aren’t going away—they’re simply adapting. 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘺 -Long-Term Value: Many organizations have already invested heavily in remote tools and strategies, and pulling back completely might not be feasible. -Talent Dynamics: Companies enforcing RTO may see short-term gains, but when the job market picks up and competition for talent resumes, flexible employers will have an edge. -Hybrid Trends: The future likely lies in hybrid work, blending the best of remote flexibility with in-office collaboration. 𝘑𝘰𝘣 𝘚𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘪𝘱𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘕𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 2025 1. Understand Your Preferences: -What’s your ideal working arrangement—remote, hybrid, or in-office? -Be honest about your priorities and non-negotiables. 2. Understand the Trade-Offs: Remote roles might take longer to secure, but they’re worth it if they align with your lifestyle and goals. Hybrid roles might offer a balance while keeping you competitive in the job market. 3. Consider Relocation: Some cities still have a strong remote-work presence. Would moving to one of these hubs align with your personal and professional goals? 4. Ask Key Questions During Interviews: Where are teammates located? Is the nature of the role truly location-dependent? Avoid situations where RTO policies don’t enhance collaboration or productivity. (Personal story: I once joined a role where RTO was enforced, yet all key stakeholders were in different locations. Even in the office, I spent my days on video calls—defeating the purpose of being there.) 5. Special Considerations for Trust & Safety Roles: Many T&S roles are leaning toward hybrid setups, given the collaborative nature of the work. Keep this in mind as you search. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘗𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 As a job seeker in 2025, adaptability is key. Whether you’re targeting fully remote opportunities or exploring hybrid roles, staying informed and flexible will set you apart. 📌 What’s your approach to navigating the shifting work landscape? Let’s discuss your strategy in the comments or feel free to reach out if you need help fine-tuning your job search! Together, we’ll tackle the future of work. #RemoteWork #HybridWork #CareerTips #JobSearch2025 #TrustAndSafety

💡 Did you know most FAANG hiring managers are just as frustrated as job seekers? 💡 I recently had a fascinating chat with a friend tasked with building a team in Operations at a FAANG company. Over 4 months of hiring, they uncovered valuable insights about what candidates get wrong — and how YOU can stand out. Here’s what they shared: -Hiring frustrations are mutual. While job seekers feel the sting of rejection, hiring managers are equally frustrated with pipelines lacking qualified candidates. -Preparation matters. Many candidates under-prepare (failing to research the company or role) or over-prepare (coming off as scripted). Plus, stories often fail to match the job’s seniority level. So, what can you do to ace this process? 1️⃣ Apply early. Most jobs open on Monday or Tuesday mornings (PST). Set alerts against your target companies or roles and aim to apply within the first 2 days. 2️⃣ Level-up your prep. Tailor your “story bank” to match the role’s seniority. For senior positions, expand your narrative to include additional stakeholders, complexities, and solutions. 👉 Let’s craft your winning strategy. DM me or comment below to get started. 🌟 #JobSearchTips #CareerCoaching #InterviewSuccess #FAANGCareers #TrustAndSafety #GetHired #LinkedInInsights 💼

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 📚 To all my clients, colleagues, and everyone in my network who has supported me in my career coaching journey—THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Your resilience, insights, and determination have been my biggest inspiration. Let's face it: 2024 has been tough for job seekers at every level. Rejection has, unfortunately, become the new norm. I’ve personally faced my own share of rejections this year. But through every setback, I've learned, adapted, and grown. Here's the truth: Being rejected doesn't define you. What defines you is how you take every "no" and transform it into an opportunity to gain new skills, build new connections, and push yourself further. This year, I’ve gained more understanding about the challenges that so many face in Trust & Safety, product management, and beyond. I’ve learned how to help clients, students or my network tap into their unique value, even in the face of uncertainty. And I’ve also learned to celebrate small wins everyday—because they add up to big changes. To everyone out there job searching, pivoting, or just trying to make sense of it all: keep going. Celebrate what you've learned, not just where you've landed. Here’s an interesting fact to keep in mind: Did you know that Thomas Edison was rejected over a thousand times while trying to invent the lightbulb? Yet he famously said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Rejections are just the universe's way of redirecting us to where we’re truly meant to shine ✨ Another lesser-known example: Sir James Dyson, the inventor of the Dyson vacuum cleaner, went through 5,126 failed prototypes over 15 years before finally creating a successful model. Today, Dyson is a household name, but it all started with thousands of setbacks. Remember, persistence is key, and every failure brings you closer to success. I’m excited for what’s next—for all of us. Thank you for being part of my journey. Let’s continue to grow, inspire, and succeed, together. 🌟 #CareerDevelopment #CareerCoaching #TrustAndSafety #Resilience #JobSearchJourney #ThankYou #GrowthMindset #2024Reflections 🫶

✨ 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐆𝐨 𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝 ✨ A few years back, I was determined to pivot from Program Manager to Product Manager. It was December, and I’d made it through five interview rounds, all the way to the final loop. I was sure I’d land the role, but two weeks before Christmas, I got an email from the recruiter: they’d decided not to move forward. I was crushed. 💔 I couldn’t help but wonder, Did I mess up somewhere? But instead of letting it end there, I reached out to the recruiter and asked if we could hop on a quick 5-minute call. I expressed my heartfelt gratitude for her support throughout the process and asked if she could share any feedback. To my surprise, she shared positive feedback, explaining that a last-minute re-org had changed their plans. I politely asked if I could follow up after the New Year to reiterate my interest. Fast forward a few months: I was studying Product Management at UC Berkeley when I got a call from her. Guess what? The role had opened up again, and she wanted to put me back at the top of the interview list. One month later, I got the job! 🎉 🗒 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒆’𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 a. Rejection is tough, but it’s even tougher if you don’t seek feedback and maintain connections. b. Timing matters. As we get closer to year-end, things like re-orgs and budget freezes can impact roles. Sometimes it’s not about you—or the recruiter. c. Recruiters are your partners on this journey. They want to fill the role as much as you want it. Show gratitude and keep in touch. You never know when paths will cross again! I’m rooting for you all! 💪 If you’re feeling frustrated from not hearing back, I’d love to help. #CareerTips #FridayReflections #JobSearchJourney #ProductManagement #NeverGiveUp #StayConnected #JobHuntSuccess #CareerGrowth

🇺🇸 With all eyes on the U.S. elections this week, here’s a quick heads-up for job seekers 🇺🇸 If you’re on the hunt for your next role, keep in mind that interview timelines might slow down as hiring managers and teams focus on the election season support especially if you are in Trust & Safety. Many of my clients have already heard from recruiters that responses may be delayed this week and next. 👉 So, what can you do in the meantime? 🔹 Keep applying! Stay active in your search to keep momentum going. 🔹 Deep dive into company research and get prepared for your next interview loop—no scrambling when that call comes! 🔹 Remember to give grace to recruiters and hiring teams during this busy time. Patience and persistence always pay off. 💪 #TrustAndSafety #JobSearchTips #InterviewPrep #CareerAdvice #StayReady #JobHuntJourney

Standing out in a crowded job market for Trust & Safety positions isn’t easy. Especially if you’re unsure how to showcase your strengths effectively. Here’s the thing: Trust & Safety roles demand a specific blend of skills and experience. But it’s not just about ticking boxes on a job description — it’s about communicating the value you bring in a way that resonates with hiring managers. If you’re already in Trust & Safety, lean in hard on your industry and domain knowledge. Your deep understanding of online safety, legal or content moderation, fraud prevention, or compliance can set you apart. Companies are looking for experts who know how to navigate these evolving challenges, and if you’ve been in the trenches, make sure you highlight that experience. But what if you’re trying to pivot into this field from another industry? This is where transferable skills become your best asset. Many people from law enforcement, investigations, data analytics or intelligences, and other adjacent fields have successfully moved into Trust & Safety by emphasizing how their expertise applies to this space. Whether it’s handling complex investigations, analyzing large datasets, or managing risk and compliance — you have the tools to make the transition. The key is positioning your previous experience in a way that aligns with what Trust & Safety teams are looking for. One of my clients, who came from a legal background, leveraged her investigative skills to land a role in Trust & Safety. After reframing her experience and highlighting relevant projects, they quickly became a top contender for multiple positions. So, whether you’re already in the industry or looking to pivot, it’s all about how you communicate your values and elevate your brand as candidate . 🧠✨ Want to stand out even more? Tailor your resume and LinkedIn profile to show your impact, not just your responsibilities. #TrustAndSafety #CareerPivot #JobSearchTips #TechJobs #LawEnforcement #DataAnalytics #Investigations #OnlineSafety #FraudPrevention #CareerCoach #JobSeeker #ResumeTips #TransferableSkills

Helping a Trust & Safety Pro Secure Their Worth 💼💪 Last week, I had the privilege of assisting a Trust & Safety professional with salary negotiation. He reached out after receiving an offer from Meta for a T&S engineering role, but the compensation—below $270K—wasn’t aligned with his experience or expectations. We worked together to clarify his baseline, align his goals with the role, and evaluate why the company needed him for this position. Feeling confident in his value—and prepared to walk away if necessary—he was ready to advocate for what he deserved. After several rounds of negotiation, he secured a total compensation of $310K! 🎉 But beyond the numbers, the true victory was watching him gain the confidence to speak up for his worth and develop strong negotiation skills. If you’re navigating job offers or salary negotiations, I’m here to help. Let’s ensure you’re getting the value you deserve! #SalaryNegotiation #JobSearchTips #TrustAndSafety #KnowYourWorth #CareerGrowth #NegotiationSkills

🚀 Job Search Season is Here! 🚀 Whether you're preparing for interviews or just starting, here are a few essential tips to boost your confidence and ace your next interview! 👇 a. Research the Company 🏢 Focus on product, culture, and the role you're applying for. Here's how: 🔍 Company: Dive into podcasts, news, or recent shareholder reports. Look for major initiatives, business projects, or any notable incidents involving the company. 🎙️ Culture: Check out recent interviews or YouTube videos featuring company execs. Gain insights into their mindset, vision, and what the company culture truly embodies. 💡 Product: If you've never used their product, now's the time! Create an account and explore the platform—especially crucial for roles in Trust & Safety or Product Management. Understanding customer experiences and potential risks gives you a leg up! 🙌 🛡️ Trust & Safety Tip: Research relevant regulations in the state or country where the platform operates. This can help you understand the legal landscape and potential impacts on the Trust & Safety role, ensuring you're well-prepared to discuss industry-specific challenges. ⚖️ b. Focus on Problem-Solving 💪 Don’t get stuck on what you don’t know. If you’re unsure about a question, it’s okay to be honest. Instead, focus on how you’d approach solving the problem. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to explain your thought process and leverage your existing knowledge to show confidence! ⭐ c. Adopt a Day 1 Mindset 🧠 Walk into your interview as if it’s Day 1 of your new job! Ask questions like, "What projects are currently in-flight?" or "What’s the first project I’d be working on if hired?" Share how you'd approach these tasks to demonstrate you're ready to hit the ground running and contribute from day one! 💼 ❓ Struggling to land interviews or secure offers?
