"Today, most people think of games as just another form of entertainment; a diversion from the mundane nature of their daily lives. Others think of games another way; the cause of violence in our society or a new form of addiction. However, throughout history we have seen societies embrace games not only for pleasure, but as a way to better understand their culture, their politics, and issues of their souls." Religious and Spiritual Traditions as Forces for Good in the World
About us
The Religica Theolab is always testing new ideas at home in the Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement (CEIE), where students, staff, faculty and allies bring new ideas to life. The Theolab is dedicated to emerging opportunities that are developed in collaboration with students, staff, faculty, and local to international partners, who test the next generation of ideas, methods, and delivery systems. Religica at CEIE draws upon religious traditions, spiritual pathways and indigenous wisdom, and works with the United Nations Environment Program, Councils of Churches in the world, the Parliament of the World’s Religions, Church World Service, and additional NGOs.

"When we contemplate the “sacred,” we envision our personal idea of Creator, or a place that made us feel a special connection to The Divine, thus making it sacred. When we consider sacred time, we remember moments in life that were spiritually fulfilling." 'The holiday season is upon us. Traditionally, this is a time full of family and friends, a time full of joy, gratitude, and love. These aspects of the holidays are not gone. There still is much to be thankful for and ways to experience the season’s cheer, but for many of us, this year will be dampened by a degree of spiritual and emotional loneliness and longing.' "What is unique is the number of veterans now speaking out and access to information and personal stories via technology. We are also now able to talk with the people via the internet living in the war zones and hear their experiences. It is an opportunity to truly begin to understand the collective suffering that war causes in a way that was not possible before the world wide web."
