  • ✨ Big Aha Moment! ✨ My auditing process has completely transformed when working with Amazon brands. 🚀 Now, it's all about diving deep into the numbers, starting with Sellerboard data to uncover the real profit drivers. 💰💡 When I first started working with Amazon brands, my auditing process was quite different. Back then, it was all about diving straight into Amazon ads, looking for search terms we weren't bidding on, or spotting bleeding campaigns and keywords. That was the old way. But now? It's a whole new ball game. 🎯 My updated methodology flips the script – I start with an audit of Sellerboard to see the overall health of the Amazon business. 📊 By focusing on profit per SKU over the last 14 days, I can identify low-margin SKUs to cut back on ads and high-margin SKUs to boost ad spend. This shift allows me to directly correlate ad spend with margin and find the best opportunities to optimize. 💪 Only then do I head over to the campaign manager to fine-tune and maximize results. This was my big aha moment – and it’s making all the difference! ✨💼

  • 🎯 What Really Impacts Your Organic Rank? Let’s Talk Ads! 🚀 When it comes to Amazon ads, it’s all about impact on organic rank. Here’s what I’ve noticed: 🔥 Video Sponsored Brands Ads: They perform well with solid ACoS and higher spend, but... does it help with organic rank? 🤔 🔍 Focus on Sponsored Products: For my top-performing brand, we cut all ad types except Sponsored Products. Why? Because we KNOW they help with organic ranking. 📈 💡 Uncertainty with Other Ad Types: Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Sponsored Video look great in campaign metrics, but their impact on organic rank? Not so clear. 👉 My Tip: Stick to ad types that directly support your organic rank. Consider dialing back on the rest, and focus on pricing strategies and account caps to optimize your profitability.

  • 💡 Cutting Budgets or Capping Accounts? Here's What Works! 💡 Not sure whether to cut your ad budgets or cap your accounts? Here's my take! 👇 I don’t personally use portfolio caps, but I’ve had success with capping at the account level. Here’s what you can try: 🔍 1. Check Your Spend: Look at your average daily spend over the last 7 days. For example, if you're spending around $300/day, consider reducing by 10-20%. That means dropping it down to around $250-$270/day. 📉 2. Optimize Traffic: By capping the account, your traffic will often flow to the best-performing and most optimized campaigns. If your entire account is dialed in, this can help maintain or even improve performance. 🚫 3. Skip the Portfolio Caps: I don’t use portfolio caps myself. We’ve seen them harm sales without much benefit, but account-level capping? That's a game-changer. 💰 4. Focus on Profit Margin: In all the accounts I've managed (about four), capping the account led to an increase in profit margins—even if sales dipped a bit. The profit dollars were higher, which is what really counts! Pro Tip: Aim for capping at 10-15% below your average daily spend and monitor closely. Remember, it’s all about finding what works for your specific situation!

  • 🚀 Boost Profits with Smart Budget Cuts & Price Tests! 🚀 Ready to make your ad spend work smarter, not harder? Here’s a game plan to find that profit sweet spot! 👇 Looking to cut ad costs while keeping your sales strong? Here’s a strategy to try: 🔍 1. Check Margins First: Look at the past 14 days for each SKU’s margin and TACOS (real ACOS in Sellerboard). If the margins are thin, it’s time to reassess those budgets. 💸 2. Adjust Ad Spend: If you have many campaigns, make small cuts to each. Fewer campaigns? Try a 10% reduction. For example, cut from $200/day to $170-$180 and see how it goes! 📊 3. Test Price Changes: Start with price increases—they’re quick and can reveal a lot! If things improve, keep raising until you find that sweet spot. Test over 3-4 days, then 7-9 days to confirm your results. 📅 4. Seasonality Matters: If your product sells well during certain times, consider a price bump during peak demand and adjust back later. 🛠️ 5. Revisit Budget Cuts: After optimizing prices, go back and test further budget cuts. Focus on high ACOS campaigns and track the performance closely. Find that perfect balance and maximize your profits! 💪💰

  • Boosting profits with a little experimentation! 🚀 Have you tried pushing the price threshold on your products? Here’s how to test it smartly! Feeling good about $30,000 a month in revenue from just two products? That's great, but there’s always room to increase those profit margins! 🙌 If you’re wondering how to squeeze out more profit, consider experimenting with your pricing strategy. Start by increasing your prices slightly—maybe 50 cents or a dollar—and observe for 3 to 4 days. Keep an eye on key metrics like total sales, units ordered, profit, and profit margin. If the numbers look steady, extend the test to 7 to 9 days. If sales hold up, consider another small increase. If not, dial it back and adjust. This approach allows you to find the perfect pricing sweet spot in your market without risking too much. We’ve seen great success by gradually raising prices and analyzing the results. Remember, the goal is to push the boundaries and see just how far you can go—until the wheels fall off! 🎢🚂💨 Try it out and see how far you can take it! 📈

  • Keep it collaborative and slow it down. Even in PPC, it’s not about knowing all the answers—it’s about asking the right questions! 💬 When working on PPC, it’s easy for technical details to overwhelm. Instead of trying to give a perfect answer, flip the script: “How do you think these keywords rank?” 🙋♂️ Engaging others in the process makes it more collaborative and helps everyone feel involved. Remember, even the most seasoned pros can speak over people’s heads sometimes! Slow down, break things into smaller, relatable pieces, and don't rush. Give room for questions and pauses so everyone has a chance to digest what's being said. Let’s make PPC easier, one conversation at a time! 🔍

  • 📍 Confidence is key in PPC, but don’t let the basics become blasé! 📍 The fundamentals matter—whether it’s your first campaign or your thousandth. Confidence plays a huge role in PPC success—but there’s a common trap even the most seasoned pros fall into. The more experience we gain, the more the basics start to feel... well, boring. You might catch yourself thinking, "Oh, I've done this a million times—just launch another exact match campaign, right?" But here’s the twist: that blasé attitude is the exact opposite of what you should be feeling! The fundamentals in PPC are essential for a reason. They’re the tried-and-true strategies that deliver results, no matter how often you’ve executed them. The more you understand their value, the more others will, too. Confidence in these basics isn’t about doing the same thing repeatedly—it's about recognizing what works and why it matters. So, don’t just go through the motions. Treat every step, even the most routine ones, with the importance they deserve. Your experience should enhance your belief in these core principles, not diminish it. Keep the fundamentals front and center, stay confident, and let your conviction show! 🌟

  • Why Budget Control Outperforms Bid Adjustments for Better Results 💡 When it comes to Amazon PPC, having solid systems in place is essential. But what about when you want to experiment and optimize further? In our experience, budget control is the most effective lever to pull right now. While adjusting bids might seem like the go-to strategy, we've found that it doesn't always deliver the desired results—especially when managing a large volume of keywords. Instead, focusing on your budget allows for more consistent control over spend and performance. If you're handling a smaller set of keywords, bids might still work well for you, but for larger accounts, budget adjustments are key.

  • The Power of Keyword Ranking in Amazon's Algorithm 1. Sales Velocity and Conversion Rate Are Key Amazon's algorithm heavily relies on two critical metrics: conversion rate history and sales velocity history for each keyword. In simple terms, the better your keywords perform in these areas, the higher you'll rank. 2. Why Ranking Matters By focusing on ranking your keywords, you're directly influencing your ability to generate sales velocity. This isn’t just about hitting a rank; it's about strategically positioning your products for consistent sales growth. 3. A Strategic Approach Notice how we've structured this explanation. It's not just about ranking—it's about understanding the underlying mechanics that drive Amazon's algorithm. By grasping this, you can tailor your strategy to push the right keywords, ultimately boosting your product's visibility and sales.

  • The Key to Coaching Students for Long-Term Amazon Success When you're coaching students on launching their Amazon businesses, it's crucial to guide them through the entire journey—from the initial setup to their first product launch, and beyond. A common mistake is getting too excited about the launch, which leads to overspending time and resources on a single product. Remind your students that the key to sustainable growth is in managing their time wisely and not rushing the process. Encourage them to focus not only on their current products but also to start planning for the next launch. This way, they can keep momentum without getting stuck on one thing. Patience and strategic thinking will set them up for long-term success. 💡🚀
