A little over two years ago, I co-founded a podcast advertising agency called Podscale with my now-wife, Natalie Kovac. While working at MANSCAPED, we experienced an influx of brands and agencies reaching out to ask how we had made podcast advertising work as a performance channel. As we began discussing our podcast advertising strategy, we realized just how unique it was. That’s when Podscale was born. Fast forward to today: Podscale has partnered with many of the world's top digitally native brands and has grown to the point where I will be officially joining full-time as Co-Founder and President. I’m incredibly impressed with what Kyle Miller, Cara Palombo, Sofie Granda, Hanna Yount, Eryn Govenar, and Johnathan Padilla have built, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I’m forever grateful to Paul Tran and Thao Tran for taking a chance on me as Manscaped's first marketing hire over six years ago. When I joined in 2018, the team consisted of about six employees and generated around $2M in revenue. I'll never forget coming into the warehouse the day after Black Friday to help pick and pack shipments because we had blown our forecasts out of the water. Just two years later, we jumped to over $200M in revenue. Today, Manscaped is a household name and has over 250 employees. There are far too many employees and partners—both past and present—that I’m grateful for to list them all. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’ll sincerely miss working with so many amazing people. Cheers to the next chapter.

Have you noticed the large increase in podcasts taking their show on the road for live events? Ticket sales and merch can be a great new monetization stream for podcasts, but it also opens up more opportunities for advertisers. Whether it’s “Off Menu” at Royal Albert Hall or “Kill Tony” at MSG, live podcasting events can create stronger audience engagement and a deep connection with listeners.
