OQI’s Educational Consortium was created to establish a network of networks—bringing together domain experts, quantum experts and diplomatic stakeholders to align and co-shape activities to advance capacity building and make educational tools and materials globally available. 💡 Last week, over 35 members of the consortium gathered to discuss OQI’s capacity building strategy for 2025 and how we are aligning our activities with the International Year of Quantum (IYQ). The 2024 Innovations Dialogue with the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research and GESDA - Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator Last Friday, together with UNIDIR, we hosted the 2024 Innovations Dialogue at the Campus Biotech. This year's Dialogue focused on quantum technologies and their implications for international peace and security. It emphasized the importance of intersectoral collaboration to foster multilateral governance and inclusive access to breakthroughs. At GESDA - Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator, through our "Quantum For All Initiative", we stay committed to ensure accessibility, promote capacity building, and accelerate the development of practical use cases to unlock the full potential of quantum computing to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals #GlobalGoals. Last week, OQI attended the Alain Aspect Symposium to continue advancing dialogue around developing quantum technologies and their potential for addressing global climate challenges. Our team had the opportunity to connect with key stakeholders in the quantum ecosystem as we continue to build our network and support developing quantum computing use cases with a focus on the SDGs to address real-world challenges. Day 1 brought inspiring discussions on: 🌐 Equitable access: Developing inclusive frameworks to benefit all nations. 🤝 Collaboration: The critical role of international cooperation and regulatory efforts. 🔍 Real-world applications: Addressing societal challenges, from advancing research to tackling global issues.
