About us
About National Security Innovation Network NSIN is a program office in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), nested within the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). We are set up to collaborate with a wide variety of innovators to include universities, researchers, students, entrepreneurs and start-ups. We create opportunities for collaboration across communities and connect those that might not traditionally work in national security. Together, we help drive national security innovation and develop technologies that directly support the individuals responsible for protecting our country. About the Defense Innovation Unit The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) strengthens national security by accelerating the adoption of commercial technology in the Department of Defense and bolstering our allied and national security innovation bases. DIU partners with organizations across the DoD to rapidly prototype and field dual-use capabilities that solve operational challenges at speed and scale. With offices in Silicon Valley, Boston, Austin, Chicago and Washington, DC, DIU is the Department’s gateway to leading technology companies across the country.

Working with the #DoD can feel daunting - especially for small or nontraditional businesses. That’s why we aim to lower the barrier to entry wherever possible. For starters, there is no “one size fits all” method for responding to a Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) solicitation. A concise, focused pitch on how your technology can address our problem statement goes a long way. Check out this short video for more best practices on crafting a DIU solution brief: https://lnkd.in/eyj9ktHY

ARCADE (Automated Retrainable Cyber Adversaries for Defensive Exercises) AOI just posted. The Nation's Cyber Mission Force needs a way to deploy realistic, automated cyber adversaries on its training platform to develop and practice the skills required to execute defensive cyber operations missions. Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) is looking for solutions that enable training planners to conveniently build an offensive campaign with automated offensive actors, enable more realistic training of defensive teams by emulating the actions and decisions of real, advanced persistent threat (APT) groups, and reduce the manpower costs of having highly-trained, high demand human operators act as adversaries for training scenarios. Details here: https://lnkd.in/eUpkJFH Solicitations requested by 12/6/2024. #cyber
