As a business leader for over 40 years, Dan Palchinsky has consistently supported the dance community in the Triangle and beyond. He comes to us with extensive volunteer experience as he currently serves as Board President for Wynston Ridge HOA and previously served on the Board of Directors for Raleigh Dance Theatre. We are jumping with JOY to have Dan join the NC Arts in Action Board and are ecstatic about what his marketing acumen, quality mindset, and passion for meeting ambitious growth goals will bring to our teachers, students, and community. 

Celebrating Milestones at North Carolina Arts in Action: Empowering Children Through the Arts I'm thrilled to share some exciting updates about NC AIA's remarkable progress as we gear up for the 2024-25 school year: • Our All Aboard with Arts in Action gala was a resounding success, raising over $131,000! • Our major gifts campaign has already secured an impressive $1,350,000. • Last year, we reached nearly 1,500 children across 16 schools in Wake, Durham, Orange, and Chatham counties. • Our Learning, Excellence and Perseverance (LEAP) Team flourished with 23 dancers participating in over 30 classes, workshops, and events. • We're expanding our reach to 20 schools this year, aiming to impact 1,800 students. • Ongoing collaboration with the National Dance Institute (NDI) continues to elevate our instruction quality. These achievements reinforce our commitment to placing the arts at the center of children's lives. Last year, we taught in 16 schools, serving nearly 1,500 children across Wake, Durham, Orange, and Chatham counties. Congratulations to North Carolina Arts in Action on reaching its Campaign for Growth goal of $1.3 million! This incredible milestone was possible by the leadership of Executive Director Marlon Torres MBA PMP CAE and the unwavering support of their dedicated campaign co-chairs Laura Bayzle, Leah Friedman and Jodi Schwartz, their Board Chair Lars von Kantzow, their Campaign Cabinet volunteers, donors, and community partners. moss+ross President Kim Glenn and Partners Elizabeth Hopkins and Jeanne Murray were honored to serve as campaign counsel for this campaign that will help them bring dance and music to more students in the Triangle and make a lasting impact on their lives.

A generous applause and WELCOME to our new board member Carol L. Holland! *the crowd roars* Carol is a private banking officer at Townebank in Raleigh and a Vice President at their Glenwood office. She has over 30 years experience in the industry and is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and the NC Bankers Association's School of Banking. In addition to her efforts on our board she also serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Eastern NC and generously volunteers her time with Feed the Hunger, the American Heart Association, Rise Against Hunger and Habitat for Humanity. She was also formerly the Board Chair for Community Music School. We're ecstatic to have her join us in our efforts to share the transformative impact that DANCE can have on the lives of children.
