On Monday, attendees were treated to an inspiring keynote from Hugh Holbrook, who presented on Ultra Ethernet—a groundbreaking #network technology aimed at enhancing collaboration among computers, particularly for demanding tasks like #AI. The Security Track emerged as a highlight, showcasing the committee's dedication to delivering insightful discussions and top-notch content. The conference then transitioned to the Peering Coordination Forum, providing attendees the opportunity to connect and introduce their networks in a relaxed atmosphere with snacks and beverages. This engaging experience continued at "The Rec Room," where participants enjoyed food, drinks, arcade games, and bowling, reinforcing the notion that networking can be both productive and fun, free from titles and formalities. Tuesday’s keynote by Geoff Huston from APNIC was equally compelling, focusing on the #IPv6 transition. He revealed that, after three decades, global adoption stands at only 30%. If current trends persist, it may take another 20 years to achieve full adoption—underscoring the pressing need for #innovation in the industry.
