Exciting Evening with New Jersey Delegates! nasscom had the pleasure of hosting Tahesha L. Way, the Lieutenant Governor & Secretary of State of New Jersey, along with her esteemed delegation. New Jersey holds a strategic position for many of our companies, and nasscom has recently led two delegations to the state, involving nearly 45 companies. Wrapping up a couple of weeks of travel around the world. Last week, we toured around the United States of America with Mayank Gautam from #Nasscom. We are kind of new members to Nasscom and even though we have attended a few conferences with #Nasscom, we were not that actively engaged with them. We have been a US business for almost 20 years and when this delegation tour announcement was made in India - US relationship and how to build / grow business in the USA, it definitely piqued our interest. The program sounded very positive and with a lot of potential. Weeks before the actual travel, we were still not sure what we would achieve during the travel. #Nasscom kicked off an WhatsApp group chat with other members that were attending and some who have been part of previous delegations too. What happened next was mind-blowing. What an amazing week it has been travelling between NYC, NJ, Chicago and SFO with #Nasscom and Mayank Gautam. This week, I understood the significance of what Nasscom actually does and how it enables SME business to grow their businesses around the world. #Nasscom co-ordinated some great meetings in these cities, and the Indian government was equally involved in sharing details with business owners and explaining what the Indo-US relationship means and what the future holds. There is tremendous support from the Indian government in making sure the businesses are successful and bi-lateral relationships between the two countries keep getting better. Mayank Gautam did an amazing job at the meetings, getting the right people involved, especially the Consulate Generals at each location. Bringing in multiple partners from enterprise solution providers like #Nagarro, #TCS, #CGI, #Birlasoft, and #KPMG to many other SMB partners across these cities. They also helped bring in the local economic development teams from NYC, NJ and Chicago, that showed us why it would be good to have offices in these States and what programs they offered to help us be successful in these states. #Audible has an amazing program in helping businesses settle in Newark, NJ and supports job creation for the locals in the city and state. This has provided us tremendous insights in to working in USA and so many partnerships forged. Even though we have been working in USA for almost 20 years, this brings fresh perspective and opportunities to us that we had not tapped in to before. The day began with the inauguration of Nagarro new office at the iconic 195 Broadway building, graced by Consul General H.E. Binaya S. Pradhan—a fitting celebration of growth and innovation. Amidst the backdrop of an incoming US administration, we hosted an engaging roundtable on strengthening the India-US digital partnership. The discussion brought together Indian heritage companies, GCCs like Tata Consultancy Services Birlasoft Nagarro, CGI KPMG GDS, TexasAI, and 17+ SMEs from India. Michael Kugelman, Director of the South Asia Institute at The Wilson Center delivered a compelling analysis of the shifting geopolitical landscape and its implications for cross-border investments, digital trade, and tech collaboration. Key takeaways? The India-US strategic partnership is not just poised to sustain its momentum—it’s set to thrive, offering a thrilling journey ahead. We also delved into practical strategies to empower our SMEs in navigating their GTM approach in the US market. Officials from New York State, consultants, marketing specialists, Citizen Bank, and others enriched the program with their expertise. A special thanks to Vikram Chandna for his mentorship and to Shouvik B. for sharing his entrepreneurial wisdom—both sessions were invaluable for our companies.
