We're excited to share what we've been cooking up at Magic Labs lately! Announcing Passport, the first chain-abstracted smart wallet, now in private beta. Sign up for the waitlist to be one of the first to build with Passport: https://lnkd.in/e997JWsM Passport connects developers to users and their liquidity across chains, all through a single command line prompt. Best of all, it’s free for all developers 💸 With Passport, developers can: ▪️ Get started quickly: Developers can install and integrate the Passport SDK for free in minutes, simplifying multi-chain functionality for their applications. ▪️ Build across chains: With one deployment, Passport connects developers to user liquidity across chains, making cross-chain transactions fast and frictionless. ▪️ Attract more users: From easy web2-like authentication to instant cross-chain transactions, Passport simplifies the fragmented user journey of wallet creation, traditional bridging and swaps, bringing it into one streamlined experience. Passport is built on Newton, the first chain unification network. Newton is focused on incentivizing the best developer and user experiences across chains. Magic is in build mode 👀 To kick off the Magic Demo Series, we’re sharing the Magic AI Chat Demo. Users can now interact with smart contracts using natural language! This demo was built with our programmable API wallets, currently in beta. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/e6W-UGfR Magic is all about giving developers the tools to create anything they envision and users the ability to get from intent to action quickly. LLMs have created huge opportunities for interacting with user intents but are limited in the number of tools they can call. We set out to change that 👇 To handle user requests across multiple smart contracts, Magic leverages two AI agents with LangChain. The first agent narrows the solution space from the users’ message while the second is responsible for executing the intent. This is all made possible through Magic’s programmable API wallets which enable onchain interactions with LLMs. Shoutout to our PM Vishal Mathur for bringing this to life after our CEO Sean Li shared something he hacked together at an internal demo day.

Prediction Markets: Clearing the Hurdle of Web3 Onboarding Prediction markets are revolutionizing forecasting and solving the Web3 onboarding challenge. By combining trader sentiment with real-world events and a simple signup processes, prediction markets attract the masses. By now you’ve probably heard about companies like Polymarket, SX Network and Drift Labs. Magic is proud to support all of them. Let's explore how these platforms decentralize the thrill of winning. TLDR: With over $1B in volume on political bets market-wide, prediction markets like Polymarket saw 700% user growth in 2024. They're not just for gambling - major news outlets and AI tools are integrating this data. At Magic, we help developers onboard as many users as possible, as simply as possible, regardless of where their liquidity sits. The #onchain results speak for themselves: Polymarket: ▪ $330M trading volume in Aug 2024 ▪ 48,000 new accounts in Aug 2024 ▪ $1B total betting volume, with $468M on the 2024 U.S. presidential election ▪ Recently hired Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight fame SX Bet: ▪ Processed over $500M in betting volume ▪ Innovations like $0 commission cross-chain betting ▪ 130% growth in monthly active users this year Drift Protocol's BET: ▪ $2.2M in combined liquidity since launch ▪ Unique features like multi-asset collateral and yield opportunities Elections are just the start. The NFL season’s kickoff presents a huge opportunity for #predictionmarkets. With $35B projected to be legally wagered on the NFL this season, platforms offering simple access to complex bets could bring even more users into an already thriving election betting community. As Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin notes, "Prediction markets and Community Notes are becoming the two flagship social epistemic technologies of the 2020s. Both truth-seeking and democratic, built around open public participation..." These markets provide real-time sentiment #data, offering valuable insights for news outlets, researchers, and even #AI tools. Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC and Perplexity AI have integrated Polymarket data, showcasing the cross-industry belief in their predictive power. So, how do decentralized prediction markets work? Let's break it down: 1️⃣ Event Creation: An outcome to predict is identified (e.g., election winner) 2️⃣ Market Creation: Smart contract deployed on blockchain with event details 3️⃣ Placing Bets: Users buy tokens representing outcomes 4️⃣ Trading: Tokens traded based on perceived probabilities 5️⃣ Outcome Determination: Result verified on blockchain 6️⃣ Settlement: Automatic payouts to correct predictors As prediction markets evolve, they’ll reach broader populations through real-world applications. We're excited to partner with innovators in this space, driving compelling use cases that showcase the potential of #Web3 technology. The future of forecasting is here, powered and made simple by Magic.
