  • Scott and Lisa Nelson exemplify the power of combining hands-on service with strategic philanthropy. As dedicated Los Angeles Regional Food Bank supporters, they've donated their time and financial resources to fight hunger in LA County. Their latest step included leveraging their IRA through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to make an even more significant impact. By donating directly from their IRA, the Nelsons avoid taxes on required minimum distributions, ensuring that 100% of their contribution goes toward feeding our neighbors. Lisa explains, “It's incredibly easy—you can set it up online, and the donation goes straight to the Food Bank. It's a simple way to make a big difference." Their story highlights how financial planning and passion for the mission can transform lives. If you're over 70½ and considering a charitable IRA donation, learn more about this impactful giving option at https://lnkd.in/gxk_JmHK.
