Anyone a NASCAR fan?? 🏎️ The Daytona International Speedway is recognized worldwide as the staging grounds of the Daytona 500, the most prestigious race in NASCAR, which marks the beginning of every season. Before the 2016 NASCAR Daytona 500, the structure underwent a full signage upgrade, meaning signage across the complex needed to be removed and replaced for new, more relevant examples. Because of this, signage needed to be installed on the existing steel components in a way that eliminated the need for field welding. It also needed to be mounted in a way that didn't damage the steel I-beams supporting it, which would've looked unsightly. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. Our design team specifically chose the Type BY (High Friction) BeamClamps to attach the signage in a damage-free, aesthetically pleasing way. Using BeamClamps to attach the signage didn't just look nicer than welding, it provided a safe and cost-effective alternative that still provided the high load capacity necessary to perform the work adequately.

How beautiful is this complex? ✨ 30 Acres of waterfront housing development transformed the post-industrial waterfront of Hunter's Point South into a richly trafficked mixed-use space situated on prime waterfront property. Part of this waterfront development is a park area with a pavilion that needed steel framing for its roof. However, the contractor emphasized the importance of preserving the aesthetics of the building. This, along with stringent time constraints, meant welding was not a feasible option for constructing the roof's steel frame. The contractor of the development project reached out to LNA to provide a solution, and LNA provided Type C BoxBolts, allowing the steel supports to be installed with ease. Using BoxBolts for the steel structure of the pavilion roof provided numerous advantages over a traditional welded connection. Additionally ↓ 1. The project was completed in a much quicker time frame since installing BoxBolts is much simpler than hiring and scheduling a welder and is much more cost-effective 2. Aesthetics were a very important aspect of the project, so the uniform, discreet appearance of the BoxBolts also lent themselves well, achieving a clean finish. 3. Once painted, the BoxBolts are seamlessly incorporated into the steel frame's final appearance, further solidifying the goal of keeping the aesthetics at the forefront of the project.

Calling all MLS fans!! ⚽️ We were so excited to have the opportunity to work on Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City. As part of a major expansion project, a large soccer ball-pattern net-like structure was to be built at the stadium, known as the Mazuma Mezzanine. The structure itself is a series of honeycomb-like hexagons connected together in a manner similar to the pattern on a soccer ball. The structure also bends around slightly as it travels upward, similar to a soccer net. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺: Because this project was all about accomplishing this design in an aesthetically pleasing way, welding was not to be used, and the connections themselves were hollow structural steel, complicating matters further. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Since the structure's look was the main priority here, using a non-destructive connection method was important, with BoxBolts being chosen for the job. A series of BoxBolts were used at each point that the steel beams comprising the structure met and needed to be joined, accomplishing this task in a fashion that looks seamless enough to incorporate itself into the structure's overall design.

A trolley system needed to be installed to facilitate the construction of the new Sacramento Courthouse in Sacramento, California. However, this trolley needed to be attached to the structure's old, pre-existing steel beams, which had been coated with a fireproofing substance. Because of the fireproofing foam, which partially needed to be scraped away, and the beams' age, welding or drilling was deemed impractical to mount the trolley. Additionally, the height of the trolley meant any kind of welding, drilling, or even just through-bolting would be difficult to coordinate and dangerous to attempt. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: After much of the fireproofing was scraped away from the old steel beams, LNA provided Type BB BeamClamps, allowing the trolley to be installed quickly and in a non-destructive way, eliminating the need for welding. Specifically, Type BB BeamClamps are designed to attach steel sections with flat flanges, something the steel beams of the courthouse had, meaning the clamps could accommodate the pre-existing components of the structure they were designed to connect.

Tyco International was a now-shuttered security company headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey. Their headquarters featured a covered walkway with windows showcasing a scenic garden, but since much of the steel structure of that walkway would be exposed to the public, it needed to look as pristine and pleasing as possible. Once completed, the structure was planned to be painted white. That means welding could not have been possible without the damage welding made to the visible components. So, the structure needed to be built with materials that could make hollow structural connections without damaging the components being connected. Like in the case of any hollow structural steel connection that needs to be established without creating unsightly damage to the structure itself, the solution that LNA chose was a simple and effective one: BoxBolts. Using BoxBolts, each connection was made discreetly, which aided the uniform, clean look of the walkway's steel structure. The BoxBolts seamlessly incorporated themselves into the design when finished with white paint. LNA supplied their ICC-approved Type C BoxBolts for use in the project, connecting the steel tube framing for the roof joints and walls. This meant the walkway could serve its purpose without its connection methods distracting from the outdoor beauty it was built to display. This also saved the project time and money by eliminating the need to hire a welding contractor.

When a Walmart distribution center in Colton, California was looking to construct an ambitious 12-mile-long conveyor belt system to transport goods across the facility, LNA Solutions was tasked with building, designing, connecting, and supporting the conveyor belt system. Support was made difficult by the unique requirements of the conveyor; namely, it needed to be adjustable. This means a connection solution was required that allowed for flexibility. Due to their self-adjustable, easy-to-install design, Type BM BeamClamps were instrumental in the conveyor belt system's design and construction while streamlining the installation process. LNA Solutions worked closely with the contractor installing the system to ensure it was handled correctly, and BeamClamps aid in that work by being easy to install, effortless to adjust, and generally more cost effective than traditional solutions such as welding.
