Managing the cost of breast cancer, the cancer with the highest treatment costs, can be overwhelming. To help, we've created 5 new downloadable guides to help patients navigate the cost of treatment and prescriptions, health insurance, Medicare, Social Security Disability Insurance and so much more. Take a moment to review our new resources, and share them those you serve who have been impacted by breast cancer, so that they can focus less on the finances and more on what truly matters — their health and well-being. Biomarker testing looks at genes, proteins, and other molecules and then profiles a cancerous tumor. Within the context of breast cancer, biomarkers help doctors detect the tumor, understand the aggressiveness of the cancer, and customize targeted treatments towards those specific cancerous cells. The results of biomarker testing can often help determine prognosis and treatment plan and if the breast cancer recurs, biomarkers should be retested because they can change. Watch the video to understand what biomarkers are as well as how they can impact your cancer journey, and have the ability to help you make informed decisions with your medical team. For more information visit our biomarkers website at https://lnkd.in/ddAzVBJR This video is made possible with support from AstraZeneca and GSK Thank you to our partners: Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Breastcancer.org, and FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered Metastatic Breast Cancer Alliance
